Anna Short, yes the $1 is for 7 days but that's so you can try it and see how great it is! I did the trial and did the 30 day challenge and the 3day challenge. Then I went with full membership because I wanted it all! It's made it so much less stressful and much more enjoyable! I got my Cricut for Christmas and didn't open it until late January because I was so stressed from other videos and groups telling me different things. With MGL, I take it one step at a time and I'm feeling confident now.
I thank you for the informative video. I do not like being nickled and dimed by circuit. I bought the machine, I use cricut materials, I do NOT have cricut access as I have no need of their images, I resent the fact that I can only use the images as long as I keep paying monthly. They are never mine- just a loan for the time I am a member-- and now this! Enough. It s making me consider using another company. This should be available to all cricut users.
I am a Cricut access member and I just did it as I watched your video. I think this will be great! Thank you for getting the news and your video to us so quick, you guys are awesome!
This is going to be a real game changer. I was an Access member but budget constraints prevented me from continuing the membership. This is enough to want me to become a member again. 👍👍
totally agree with you, it's not that machine, blades etc are super cheap and so they need to make money on program extra feature... having to pay for features that are standard on free programs ( like warp, monogram etc) feels like outrage to me.
They are saved on your pc every time you save a design. Here are the steps… (not for Mac)open file explorer, this PC, Windows (C:), users, the file folder with your name that you use, Cricut design space, local data…. Then there should be a file named with numbers ( mine is 16447453) then click on canvas and that’s where all the designs are stored on your PC. I was frustrated with the fact I couldn’t export them and discovered that they’re already on my computer 👏
I hear you. Silhouette lets the creators do it so the issue on the “stealing designs” can be moderated like not allowing to do for the unaltered images but if u create a new one put of a y then no sure why not 🤷🏻♀️ other companies are doing it.
Just woke up (in Sweden), scrolling through YT whilst making coffee and saw this. Wow! Wow, wow, wow!!! I’m sooo going to try this out this weekend… Tanner you are right… this is a massive game changer. My instant thought is it could actually be an easy way to ‘cartoonerise’ images with the colour/layer reduction. Really hope they get this on desktop soon though - I’ve always found working with design space on iPad a bit challenging. ❤❤
Thank you Tanner, this looks amazing. I am a cricut access user and am definitely going to try this. I'm just waiting on the size 21:40 update as well. This is a wow factor, though.
Thank you, this was a great tutorial! I was able to save it to the cloud from my iPad and then open it on my desktop computer in Design Space with all the layers. 👏
I've never used Cricut on my phone but I might have to try it on my iPad now. I am an access member and now this is a better reason to continue with that. Thanks for the video.
Cricut kept my money 2, twice when I cancelled. Don’t remember exact timeframe but these 2 attempted cancellations were months apart if not more than a year between each cancellation. I tried to inform the TOP, to absolutely no response on Cricut’s top end. And add the fact we cannot download OUR OWN DESIGNS to our desktop/system setup. Cricut appears to be getting there; don’t cheat your customers doing their best, we are not all floating in money, sometimes we truly NEED TO CANCEL, and or pass access by…
Great tutorial and I’m so excited about this update. However, although SVGs are normally layered files and this new feature creates layered images, it’s not creating SVGs as far the true sense of the word goes…scalable vector graphics, it’s simply creating a layered image. Cricut also never uses the term SVG in any of their publications concerning this new feature, so the terminology may be confusing to some.
Hmmmm. That’s a very interesting point-thanks for sharing! I’ll stick with designing SVGs using my vector software but I agree it’s hopeful to see Cricut trying to expand the capabilities of Design Space.
Thank you Tanner for your informative and exciting video on the day of release by Cricut! I saw the video that day but was not able to comment. I appreciate you are always aware of Cricut updates. Thank you!
I'm looking forward to trying this out. I ACTUALLY USE MY Galaxy tab and phone quite a bit with Access. THANKS SO MUCH for being so on the ball, getting training out
So glad I have Access, and I’m looking forward to playing around with this. I wasn’t totally clear on what you would have done with your example SVG, hoping you do another video with the actual application. Thanks for bringing us this info so quickly!
This is amazing! I'm definitely the #1 type of person. Will give it a try tonight! Soooo exciting!! Thanks for sharing this step by step for us Tanner.
Thank you, Tanner! Great tutorial. I’m an Access member, can’t wait to play with this. I’ve never used my iOS to create in design space, big learning curve for this girl. Time for an ole’ dog to learn a new trick!
I’m a cricut access member and I’m excited about the new changes I paid for few years and it was hard to understand or use , thanks for sharing and explaining so well 😊now definitely I can use it
how exciting! I am watching this on my MAC and using my iPad to follow along! It didn’t work on one picture, but, out of the 12k+ photos in my library Im sure I’ll find one that does!
Great video, I tried this tonight. Full 9 layers. What I did not realize is they do not cut in order of the layer. gotta work on putting them in order. But it was fun and the most important part. I DID IT!!!!!!! I DID IT!!!!! Thanks for a great video!
Current access member and can think of a few things I want to try. I never use my phone or iPad for canvas so hoping Cricut pushes this out to desktop quickly. Thank you for the quick update, really it was hours and you were on top of it. Thank you Thank you Thank you
I followed along with you on my iPad, and am SO impressed with this feature! I was doing layers in a much more complicated way using website converters, and I can't wait for it to be available for desktop. Thank you for this update tutorial- love it!
Wow this is going to be great. I use my Cricut access. I will up load this tonight it looks really easy to use! That’s for your information looking forward to more!
I didn't realize this was sooo new and I used it just hours after it was released!!! It was great. I was able to make stickers from the photos of a Disney trip. Easy to use and it was a hit with my customer. :)
Oh my God I have seen so many PN G's that I want to do but too complicated with Cricut so I decided not to get Cricut Access. You just gave me a reason 😊
I am access member. Tried this 2 days ago. Loved it. Can you do a video with a photo of a person? I haven’t tried that yet. Thx for your video. I learned a lot.
Don't use my phone ever - but viewing this I tried it on my iPad - saved & it did show up in Cricut Design Space on my desktop as a finished product. Will def need more instruction.
I am an access member and am wondering if I would be able to make like a three layer stencil for canvas artwork with this new tool??? Especially since I have the venture, I could make a nice size piece of art.
This I good. I do wish it was with a photo nit an image that you can already adjust. Guess i have to go play! Yay get featured and video!❤ I have no prob paying for DS if you actually get decent upgrades! Right now I'm having a hard time click and dragging without it resizing, even if the image is locked!
I make my own svg files all the time on Canva and then import into Cricut. Also, Canva has hundreds of great Fonts. So most of the time I design in Canva and import.
Liking this update. Have not used the phone app much. Im going to try and play around with this. I'm a cricut access member and this update maybe a reason to keep it one more year.
He selects the multi layer beta button at timestamp 12:53. select stacked. Select layers. Choose the amount of colors in your image (up to 9 colors) Check the image to be sure you’re using least amount of colors/layers needed for the project. Select advanced, improve your image if needed.
I played along with you. I used a photo And the face didn't show well. There is a limit to what you can do but I know we learn to work around them. This will be fun to do.
✨✨ Grab our membership for only $1: makersgonnalearn.com/dollar-deal ✨✨
This is the best investment you can make for yourself and learning your Cricut!
It's only a membership for 7 days 🤷♀!

Yes, I am a Cricut Access Member. I love the step by step instructions you have given us. I have been able to do it thanks to you.❤❤❤
I can't wait to see you do this with an actual photo. It will help me decide if i want to do access
I am a cricut access member and I cannot wait to try this, thank you for explaining how to use this.
Wow that's not fair we bought machine and it should just be a free option. Getting tired of having to pay extra. But Thank you for showing us.
totally agree with you, it's not that machine, blades etc are super cheap and so they need to make money on program extra feature... having to pay for features that are standard on free programs ( like warp, monogram etc) feels like outrage to me.
You can do it outside of design space as well… it just takes longer…
$$ Well spent if you use Cricut a lot. I feel it's a good value for what you pay.
And this is one of the reasons I sold my Cricut and bought Silhouette.
@@bnefarmNot really. With other softwares you can do this and much more for a one time fee. You also can do it all from your computer… no games.
I can’t wait til they allow us to export designs from DS!
They wouldn't want their images available in other software. But you never know!
Doubtful that will ever happen due to copyright infringement issues it would create.
Inkscape is easy enough to learn, and then you can do whatever you want with the images. I do mine in Illustrator and have so much more flexibility.

Omg! It’s almost like screen printing! As an artist, this is exactly what I’ve been wanting!!!!

I cannot wait this hits to be used on my desktop. I would love to use this as a tool with my fabric collaging.
Talk about a thorough tutorial from a well informed Creator. Just became a Sub! Thank you - I’m a photographer and have always wanted to wear my art.
