Yeah! I love these Guys. My Kids tried to have me committed the first time I hung a broken couch in a tree and used it as a swing. But I just smiled and said come on board try it before you bash it. It don't snow much in Texas , so when it did I hitched up a truck hood to my tractor and drug the kids around the place for hours, at least until my wife came back from town. Yep I build equipment for the semiconductor industry but my roots are firmly planted in the souls of the Moron Brothers. Making do with what God gives you.

I’ve done a lot of catfishing using jingle lines, jugs and trot lines. My dad was from Arkansas so I grew up on the river. I sure miss those days.

@moronbrothersKY I sure hope you boy's are still doing well, love the boat it's fantastic and then some, the wife and I had a 15 ft jon boat and we were on the withlacoochee river at least 5 days a week, camping, fishing, swimming, finding arrowheads, catching turtles, and just plain having fun, it is totally stress free and I highly recommend it to folks out there in need of an escape from this new reality, God bless you boy's and thank you.

Proud to see Kentucky so highly presented in it's more laid back lifestyle. Wish to be with you and out from under the thumb here in Michigan. And joy of joy, my west Tennessee wife agrees. At 74 & 70 we're ready to float through retirement and fish it out, whatever that turns out to be.

Nice Flat head too, I was fishing Stockton Lake in Missouri one late night about 16 years ago by myself. It was a little drunk out that night and I was trolling with a deep diving crank bait and hooked into something on a bait casting rig with 50 lb. Spider wire and the 24 volt trolling motor wasn't fast enough to keep up with the fish so I started the main boat motor and yep, hit the boat on shore the Moby dick of my life spooled me and I lost that darned fish!!!

God damn, son, get 'er done! I do miss livin' down in Dixie. Everybody friendly and simple about stuff and nobody'll let you go hungry. A true southerner will never eat a sandwich in front of you without first offerin' to cut it in half with his jack-knife and share it. But don't you cross him, 'cuz you get him angry enough and he won't think twice about cuttin' you open with that same knife and gettin' his sandwich back.
These days I'm living in Los Angeles, in la-la land, and I can hardly stand it here, even though it is my place of origin. Everything costs 3 times as much as it does anywhere else at the same wage-rate and all you're really paying for is the weather. And if the weather isn't 100% absolutely perfect everybody starts complaining. I'm so tired of people acting like it's cold if it's 50 or hot if it's 90 or too wet if it's raining or too dry if it's not. Shut up already about you being unprepared. You didn't know it was going to be cold? Bring a jacket, he said.
The guy behind me on the freeway hates me just because I'm driving the car in front of him, stuck in the same damn traffic jam as he is. I can't walk into or out of a store without being assaulted by some shiftless vagrant out front asking if I can spare some of my hard-earned change. He's not ready or wiling to do anything for it, he thinks I should just give it to him out of the kindness of my heart. Like I pity his sorry ass. I can't afford medical insurance, but if I don't have it, the state will tax me so they can pay for his!
I can't get a loan or credit because I'm not an illegal alien, can't get help from the state for anything because I'm a poor white man with a job, can't go to the beach or the desert or the woods or the mountains without running into more and more people and graffiti and trash and dirty diapers and oh god, what the fuck is wrong with these people? This is our mother! Go to the most secluded spot in California and there will be a line of cars parked on the side of the road and a beer can and a plastic grocer's bag trapped in a bush. Go to the deepest part of the city, you'll be lucky to get back out alive.
Even in my own rather 'quiet' neighborhood, in a town far from Los Angeles itself, I fall asleep every night to the lullaby-symphony of sirens, helicopters, thumping stereos, screeching tires, rice-burners and Jake brakes.
But down south, at night it gets real quiet and real dark, right before the mist comes up in the tall grass and the moon with it, right around 3. If you have a pond or a creek that's a mighty good time to catch a dear. Crack! What was that?! Nothing, Honey, that was just 'ol Wilson's .22; his land, his game, his right, go back to sleep baby.
And then there's the fireflies. And the Shine...
You are from California, talking like that ,unheard of ,finally someone who tells it like it is. I agree with you on everything you said. I too am tired of supporting lazy people, beggars and illegal immigrants who don't want to help themselves.

Chicken soup just as good, especially if it's given out of thoughtfulness. I suggest you go over and do that neighbor a favor right back, fix something simple for her, just because it was getting cold. Could be a bowl of soup, could be the latch on her kitchen door, could be the time-honored tradition of chopping up the fire-wood.
Let us all work to keep kindness alive, and good old-fashioned southern hospitality alive and kickin'...

1st time watcher - I did such a double-take when you said you're from Kentucky and you're the "moron brothers".
I've been looking for the last year eat a boat that I can turn in to be just like that thing. I was thinking about doing the same damn thing. But I just didn't think I should do it. After watching these two good old boys I'm going to call tomorrow and buy that damn boat. I'm going to be coming down the Mississippi River.
