That looks like a store we stopped at when we overnighted in Fairbanks, it was across the street from our hotel, we didn't buy anything but it was a sweet store. ☺
One of my fav vlogs! I can’t believe those temps! Almost all of February here in Southern Ontario Canada has been +40s to +60s, which is warmer than usual February here but we never experience Alaska kind of cold I guess! I love how you embrace it instead of whining about it.Off to google The Alaskan Bowl company now. Thanks for sharing!
This morning one of the articles that popped up in my news feed was about how cold it is in Fairbanks! So thanks for posting this. It was fun and interesting to see it all first hand. We vacationed in Alaska in late August, where ironically, Fairbanks was the warmest place we visited. It was in the mid-70s while we were in Pioneer Park.
This brought back so many memories! I lived in Huslia for a year (on the Koyukuk river in the interior). Fairbanks was our main hub. The year I was there the temperature got down to at least -76. It was probably colder, but none of the thermometers in the village went colder. Ah, I miss it! And I loved great Alaskan bowl company!!!!
Had no idea that Great Harvest Bread Company had a sandwich menu. We have that store here, and I'd only heard about people going there to buy fresh baked breads. The things you can learn on an Alaskan vlog! 🙂
I just saw your video. I just subscribed. I love Alaska but haven't been in a while. I usually spend a month in Anchorage. I love those items at the bowl company. I will order a couple and mention that I saw their store on your video. Happy I ran across your video.
My family and I have lived in the Fairbanks area for about twelve years now. I'm definitely dreaming about our first Disney cruise/ Disneyland trip in about 30 days!! Dude, these temperatures have me second-guessing my decision to live here 😂.
At -40 below Fahrenheit it is now the same in Celsius -40-below. In Canada we have a very Cheeky song about it being -40 below🥶. It's called the Rodeo Song.
Such nice products in that store! Definitely going to look up their website. BTW-If Portland had ice/snow like that the city would be shut down for a month! 😆
You had me at the sea otter sticker…..wham bam thank you clam……I love sea otters…..I have never seen that sticker before…..i will have to keep my eyes peeled to find one….enjoy watching your vlogs…..from your friend in Illinois. By the way my husband and I finally pulled the trigger on an Alaskan cruise tour on the celebrity summit from august 1st to august 14th 2025. We are excited because it is going to Homer Alaska and that is one place I’ve never been to.
You need to remember that we have higher humidity here in Southcentral than Fairbanks does so when it gets that cold here in Anchorage it can actually feel comparable to Fairbanks temps. There have been multiple times where friends that lived long term in Fairbanks came to Anchorage when we were near -20 and they couldn’t handle it. I actually have one of their painted wooden bowls. I have the fireweed one. I love it. And next time you are in Fairbanks stop by Sipping Streams (tea) new location. I think you would like it
Yikes -45 is pretty wild. Here in Ohio it's not uncommon to get a cold snap stretch of around -20 to -15 and that is too cold lol. I can't imagine -45. That's crazy
I gotta open a wood bowl! Would be so cool if they had some live edge cutting boards. Thats my mission right now is find a couple live edge boards lol. But gonna have to order a couple bowls!!
I bet you dont own a Tesla! We were at the Fairbanks airport and rented a car several years ago. I was shocked to see the car was plugged in so it would start! Never saw that before!
I have one down in Alabama and it never gets that cold here but I tell you when it does, the Tesla does weird stuff.. like won't hold battery as well and whatnot. But the steering wheel heats which is cool
So I have to ask, how can you breath without a scarf covering your face?? I’m in upstate New York and it’s cold here but not that cold!! Thank you for sharing!
Hi! You can actually order them online from here: www.woodbowl.com/products/cache-creek-beard-oil?_pos=1&_sid=60ee3fe1e&_ss=r They still have some in stock since I'm all sold out!

In 1989 during brim frost, it was in excess of -90 below zero.
I love Adam's excitement over cool local stores and boutiques, I am the exact same way, always trying to seek out the best ones!😂

Thanks for sharing and congrats on being in the 40 below club. Sure you wish you were still in Mexico. What a difference in temps.
Westmark: 1 ⭐️ does not come with a Sherri.
Ahahahahaha!!
We love Sherri!

I love to go Alaska

Woah, now that's COLD!!
Walking to classes in this weather at UAF was definitely an experience xD Fairbanks is one of my favorite places in Alaska!
An experience indeed!
Had no idea that Great Harvest Bread Company had a sandwich menu. We have that store here, and I'd only heard about people going there to buy fresh baked breads. The things you can learn on an Alaskan vlog! 🙂
Wow! It's amazing that you are able walk around, talk and think in weather that cold!!
Thank you for sharing your very interesting experience🥰
😱🥶 Thanks for sharing! I am amazed how anything or anyone works at that temperature 😮! Glad you got to thaw out lol!

Thanks for sharing your day stay safe
Luv it! I live here most of my life and I’m not in that club! Yet! 🤣🤣
Yup that is cold 🥶. You got some great stuff. The view from your room looks pretty. The Bowl company looks interesting
I lived as a teacher in Kotzebue and we had temps below -30 for 3 months straight.
WOW Amazing 😊😊
Last time I'm in Fairbanks, the Riverboat Tour was extremely amazing. Get to see the Alaskan Huskies and also the natives living there.
At -40 below Fahrenheit it is now the same in Celsius -40-below. In Canada we have a very Cheeky song about it being -40 below🥶. It's called the Rodeo Song.
You should come back when it's really cold. Like when the high temp for the day is -45F.
Such nice products in that store! Definitely going to look up their website.

I'm so glad you booked the cruise tour!!!

When you go back you will need to meet up with Jessica!
This makes me think of the movie "New in Town" If you havent seen I think Sherrie would love it!
Dorothy, you are definitely not in Mexico anymore 😅 💙💚🤍

Do you guys wear the heated jacket and heated socks and heated gloves? When is that cold?
Hi, will there be a part 2?
Totally get it, where I live in Montana we just had a week or so of -60 wind chill days, it gets so cold your eye water instantly freezes lol
The eye water thing, yes! I experienced that as well!
Adam, did you feel like a meat popiscle? 😆 I live in Fairbanks.
I feel so guilty seeing this headline and sitting in 72 degrees
Why did you even bring shorts when it’s freezing???? This is the part of the 40 below club thing that my mind can’t get past
Do people go skiing a lot there even when it’s cold like that
I see an antifreeze beard oil in your future. 😁
I don’t know how you did it. I’m cold when it’s 70° .
Adam, all your beard oils are sold out when I clicked on your link🤨. Wanted to order a couple……
Hi! You can actually order them online from here: www.woodbowl.com/products/cache-creek-beard-oil?_pos=1&_sid=60ee3fe1e&_ss=r
