Thanks. Things like how the speakers sound are very subjective. I'm not very impressed by any laptop speakers personally.
Zip Tie Ninja That’s a good point but I was thinking people generally agree on certain things like speakers that sound tinny and thin are not good sounding speakers versus a full rich sound would be good speakers. I was just wondering what your opinion would be based on all the different ones that you get to examine: Good full sounding speakers, just OK compared to others or not as good? Just wondering what your opinion is.
that looks like a good laptop but the area where the ssd is at seems wasted with so much empty space, if they rotate the ssd 90 degrees and move it to the edge (if possible) then there will be room for a bigger battery

Yes. Go for it, I added 16 Gig chip to it. Its heavy duty laptop for programmers. which can work till 5 years with no issues if used 5 hours daily carefully with external mouse.
Is thinkpad better than ideapad in terms of the materials' quality?
Yes. The build quality is business grade. Better Body components, better hinges, ETC.

Not very impressive next a ThinkPad. BIOS and battery issues are common.
How's the battery performance?
That greatly depends on what you're using it for and the screen brightness settings. Lenovo claims up to 9.1 hours
