Thanks Jay for doing this interview. It is always valuable to hear what speaker designers have to say about their philosophy, implementation and marketing plans. Kudos!
I love that you made it more possible for these great audio designers to gain some profile over here. Thank you for making us more aware of such amazing options, that I hope become more popular among us consumers. I’d personally love a pair of of those super Mons (when I scrape up the bread).
Wow sounds very impressive, would love to hear those speakers! Will keep my eyes open for them when ever they are introduced to the European market! Thank you for sharing this very interesting interview 👍🏻
Very cool. I am jealous of you and your recent travels. I would love to spend time with interesting people from a different culture than mine. Virtual coaxial speakers...I like that
Thank you Jay. I look forward to future reviews on these very impressive Korean products. It’s becoming more evident that Korea manufactures some must see and hear true Hifi products and appear great value for the money 👍😎
Jay this has been a fantastic series on your trip. Must have been a great trip for you. I have to say that I have watched you for quite some time and you get better and better. Thanks for all your hard work! Your definitely on my top 5. ( you bounce between 1snd 2 😂) Thanks again.
Great interview Jay- hope to find out the USA MSRP on new offering soon.Glad you made the rip good for you for a host of personal reasons but also some great insights from a very refined HiFi country
They had the Zellaton Plural Evo and the Zellaton Reference in the background. If these speaker are their role models, I am sure their's sound great, too. Did you have a chance to listen to the Zellatons, Jay?
Thanks Jay, thank you for doing this interview. I will be visiting Seoul late September, would love to listen to pair of these Mon Acoustic Speakers. Please can you advise where to go or who to speak to?
Hi Jay, good video, however, what about the other speakers, such as the pmc speakers turned landscape positioning that was also there? And also the big giant black speakers at the back, since you said that you listened to all their range...?
Hey Jay! I am wondering if you will be reviewing the Martin Logan Motion FT 100 and/or 200 speakers? I am hearing really great things about them and I am a Tekton Pendragon user currently. Wondering if they are a worthwhile upgrade or not. Also I have heard your review of the Arendale and it makes me want to know if I need to make a change or stick with the Pens. Anyways, I always enjoy your channel and how you try to find value and bang for the buck winners!
Lol ok. But lots of people--including Jay--continue to refer to them as bookshelves despite the fact that the term "stand mount" has existed for many years.
How do you know no one has book or bookselves anymore? ... talk for you. Only low level knowledge people have no books ..... there are two kind of people in our world : people with knowledge, and stupid people that can't imagine how stupid they are .. believe me
..or even no speakers. Billy & Klaus & their pals may have a plan to make us all even more miserable & legislate that listening to reproduced music is racist or some equally stupid logic of Billy & Klaus & Co'
Well we have gryphon mojo, the secret of this build is the woofer, the one jay reviewed used a wave guide increasing the effeciency of the tweeter and crossed higher. Currently only one woofer with this configuration could achieve proper bass octave down below 45hz
Unity Boulder III - Hedd Type 30 - Adam S3H - Betonart Diverso - Myro Whisky - Fischer & Fischer SN/SL60 - Mervinger Audio Klabautermann to name just a few. They exist, but most of them are def. not in the ,,mainstream market,,
Can you lay this speaker on the side and use it as a “center channel”? That would be stellar! Also wish the AMT teeeter was black like in the new wharfdale elysian or XT from Martin Logan. Only cosmetic miss IMO but the interview was absolutely spectacular ❤
Unfortunately I don’t believe it is suggested that you use this speaker as a centre channel as each speaker is tuned with left and right as shown in the video
Well, I kept open minded but I did not understand the reason for dedicated left & right channels, not one little bit, on vertically self-symmetrical speakers, L+R is where & whichever identical speaker gets fed L'or'R - i even skipped back for a 2'nd go at the translation to try & grasp it even slightly ...but I'm somehow mentally blocked from "getting it" or any bit of it & there's me thinking I'm very scientifically minded ...but Nada, non comprené, I was mentally gazzumped by it. In U.K. (at least) we called this 'virtual coaxial arrangement' of 2 equidistant drivers on each side of a central tweeter, 'The D'Appolito Arrangement' presumably named with the name of some dude, very many years ago, who first thought of it. I've no doubt they're good speakers as Jay said. The Isobarik arrangement would help bess somewhat, in theory tho ive never owned isobarik loaded bass driver'd speakers.
Not entirely sure what your point is, but the dedicated left and right placement is due to their dual ports design. Each port has different sonic pressure output, so PlatiMon has the intended bass presence and sound-staging. Hope this helps.

You killed the videography! This is impressive Jay!
Thank you for this excellent review. I listened to the MON speakers at T.H.E. Show 2024 in SoCal. The entire lineup is remarkable!
I’m lucky enough to be 90 minutes away from their US office. I’m gonna have to go audition them.
Wow sounds very impressive, would love to hear those speakers!
Will keep my eyes open for them when ever they are introduced to the European market!
Thank you for sharing this very interesting interview 👍🏻
I'm liking that made in USA part!
Another fine choice and addition to your interview & travel series and dig the focus on the expanding Korean sector. Well done sir.
Very cool. I am jealous of you and your recent travels. I would love to spend time with interesting people from a different culture than mine. Virtual coaxial speakers...I like that
I am already in love with these speakers ❤. Please take my money 😂
Thank you Jay. I look forward to future reviews on these very impressive Korean products. It’s becoming more evident that Korea manufactures some must see and hear true Hifi products and appear great value for the money 👍😎
Great interview Jay. I love this Guy's passion and three course meal explanation of good speaker sound. Can't wait until their products hit Europe 👍🏿
Look forward to your PlatiMon Virtual Coaxial One review!
He mentions future plans for "tall boy speakers," which I assume are floorstanding/tower speakers.
Does this make Stand Mounts "stubbies"
Jay this has been a fantastic series on your trip.
Must have been a great trip for you.
I have to say that I have watched you for quite some time and you get better and better.
Thanks for all your hard work!
Your definitely on my top 5.

Which is another ch you like?
Great interview Jay- hope to find out the USA MSRP on new offering soon.Glad you made the rip good for you for a host of personal reasons but also some great insights from a very refined HiFi country
out of curiosity i searched for “korean loudspeakers” and found something completelly different yet interesting as well.
They had the Zellaton Plural Evo and the Zellaton Reference in the background. If these speaker are their role models, I am sure their's sound great, too.
Did you have a chance to listen to the Zellatons, Jay?
Theirs.

message monacoustic on their website. They will direct you
Hi Jay, good video, however, what about the other speakers, such as the pmc speakers turned landscape positioning that was also there? And also the big giant black speakers at the back, since you said that you listened to all their range...?
Those are PMC flagship speakers. More of AV front speakers. They are awesome and expensive.
The Supermon look very familiar to these here Dynaudio Special Forty
Jay, when was the visit? I think you missed the SIAS 2023 show at COEX.
This was in February

I wonder what the term for "bookshelf speakers" will be in 25 years when no one has books or bookshelves anymore...
I know what you’re saying you could sort of find out right now I called him Stan mount speakers
Lol ok. But lots of people--including Jay--continue to refer to them as bookshelves despite the fact that the term "stand mount" has existed for many years.

Ikea says they have 25 years of the Okendaag bookshelf in reserves so we're ok...
Good idea to make a D’apollitto speaker with AMT tweeter. I’m surprised there aren’t a lot more out there already. It’s only a matter of time tho.

Lost me on the special “leather lining” on the aluminum inside the speaker cabinet…
They seem to be a fan of Balanced Audio Technology amplification
Are the SuperMon Isobaric like the Totem Mani-2 in design?
Jay, what are the white tower speakers and the MTM monitor at 00:35? They look like Perlisten.
Good eye. They are Perlisten

@@Jayiyagi thanks! Keep up the great work! I looked up the Mpinga wood 🪵 that he was talking about and learned quite a lot!
price?
Before you spend 25k on a new pair of speakers, please call your good friend Vlip for some advice, ok? 😉 Great videos, btw!
Don't see $25K in hardware.

Jay, you’re so transparent, so damned predictable!
Awful company to deal with, beware of monacoustics
