Great video! We seem to ride in many of the same places. I’m able to show my wife where I’ve been riding using your videos. 🤣 I just rode to Helena last week and went over Thompson and Flesher Passes to get there. An absolutely beautiful ride and had the road mostly to myself.
My guess is a vehicle used to track the movement/location of wild animals wearing radio transmission collars. The DNR doing studies on animals such as Elk, Moose, Deer, Bears, Wolves, etc. The large pole looked like an antenna to me.
There are many reasons, time and expense being the major ones. Being able to find a place to stay that is affordable being another. It would be awesome if we had unlimited time to travel on all the back roads, but we don't. Everyone travels differently and for different reasons. We just don't have unlimited resources to see everything.

That is awesome! I am surprised that there isn't any leftover snow up there. It is always nice to have the road to yourself.

I have been trying to find more info on it, it does look like an antenna.
At 15:05 mark is a wide load survey vehicle for height at bridges, tunnels...

Why would anybody ride a motorcycle on I-90 to get from Spokane to Helena? There are so many fun and scenic alternatives. I would use I-90 in car.
