We ( myself Victoria Miroshnik and Dipak Basu) have analyzed this issue in our book, India as an organization, published by Palgrave-Macmillan. The thesis of Ayesha Jalal was wrong. Jinnah was recruited by the British in 1934 to create a new state where the British Army could stay to protect the Middle East from the Soviet Union and the sea route between the Suez Canal and Australia. NS Sarila, who was the ADC for the last three Vice-Roys of India, wrote that in his book. There are two others who were recruited by the British: Gandhi in 1915 and Ambedkar in 1930. British supported the Muslim League wholeheartedly from the beginning in 1906. In every riot, British police took the position to support the Muslims. That was obvious in August 1946 in Calcutta, then in Noakhali, and Chittagong in East Bengal. Pakistan was created by the British and Jinnah, Gandhi, Ambedkar were the British agents. Gandhi planned Pakistan in 1943. He sent his plan to Jinnah through Rajagopalachari, but Jinnah wanted a corridor through India which Gandhi could not agree with.
Dr Ahmed , because you tell the truth without being bias for any one so Sir I have a small question about time of partition on both sides Is it true that the trains full of behead dead bodies were sending by both the India & pak or it was only started by one and then other was doing same in revenge Who was instigating who Please send me reply if you know about this?
Jinnah's two Nation theory was unvisionary. Lakhs of people killed and displaced because of Jinnah & Muslim league demand of partition. Congress always opposed two nation theory and partition of India.
I listened a lot about india Pakistan two nation theory by Pakistani speakers but still I’m in favour of two nation theory, when I see what India does inhumanity in Indian Occupied Kashmir also my Indian Sikh friend has dragged my attention about Modi’s attitude towards Sikh and how many Sikh people died.
Yeah killing was happened not only Hindus killed by Muslims but also Muslims by Hindus, that's the other problem. But, two nations theory was right Muslims and Hindus can not live peacefully for long time because congress and different Hindus activities had created so much hate in Muslims for Hindus and also the worry about out future. There are allot of proof of Hindus activities that creat hate but couldn't mention because reply will become too long
Mr Abbas saying that he likes to talk about injustices against muslims but matter of fact is most brutal injustice in history against muslims conducted by another group of Muslim which is none other then our loving ' Pakistan ' do you understand Mr Abbas....that is 1971...east Pakistan genocide...from March 25,1971 till December 15 our army ( Pakistani ) killed millions of bengoli innocent civilians...
Mr Abbas such discussions are nice to know and Pakistanis to know that they have been taught wring history. But point is what next for Pakistan. Good or bad, Pakistan needs to move forward. How will that happen is the key thing.
Among the largest incidents were Great Calcutta killings in 1946, Bihar and Garmukhteshwar in 1946 after Noakhali riot in East Bengal, the massacre of Muslims in Jammu in 1947, large-scale killing of Muslims following the Operation Polo in Hyderabad, anti-Muslim riots in Kolkata in the aftermath of 1950 Barisal Riots ...

Like a defence counsel, the honourable professor has set himself the task to create doubts, by ignoring the facts of history. Jinnah was a constitutional lawyer and he wanted to safeguard the interests of Muslims. It is just like buying a house or a portion of a house with certainty that you would enjoy without let or hindrance, you would certainly require, some written assurance, like registered document to your share of the house. Jinnah was just doing that, nothing more nothing less. History tells us, that he was a nationalist and an advocate for the Hindu Muslim unity. Lucknow Pact is a living example. It was not Jinnah, but Nehru, who in his first press conference after becoming the president of the Congress party, categorically stated, that the Congress party will not be bound by any agreement and everything will be decided in the Parliament. This is not a figment of my imagination, it is an historic fact. Maulana Azad, the outgoing president of the Congress party who had negotiated with Jinnah in the Cabinet Mission, had stated, that nominating Nehru to be the next president was his biggest mistake. If one were to have any doubts about Jinnah's secular and nationalist credentials should read "SECULAR AND NATIIONALIST" by Ajeet Jawed, published by Oxford press. By the way the author is not Pakistani academic, but Indian. I would like to draw the honourable professor's attention to a book "Shameful Flight and called by Stanley Wolpert. The author on page 141, states, "Suhrawardy wanted a united Bengal as a third Dominion and requested Mountbatten to sound out Jinnah with this new proposal. "Two weeks later, Mountbatten asked Jinnah what he thought of Suhrawardy's proposa to create a separate sovereign Bengal, expecting him to be shocked at his Muslim league lieutenant's "treachery" much to Mountbatten surprise, Jinnah calmly replied, "I should be delighted. What is the use of Bengal without Calcutta; they had much better remained united and independent; I'm sure they would be on friendly terms with us. And when Mountbatten added that Suharwardy said Bengal would wish to remain within the British Commonwealth. Jinnah retorted, "of course, just as I intended to you that Pakistan would wish to remain within the Commonwealth. Maryville met with Nehru on May 27 and "I asked him how he viewed and independent Bengal. He reacted strongly and said there was no chance of a of the Hindus. There agreeing to put themselves under permanent Muslim domination, which was what the proposed agreement really meant to. He did not, ruled out the possibility of the whole of Bengal, joining up with Hindustan." One cannot deny, that the British interests would indeed have liked this proposition. As they are always done, but that was no reason for Jinnah to agree to a united India without any constitutional guarantees. What has happened in Kashmir is there for everyone to see, we also know how systematically, the Muslims in India are being persecuted. Having said that, I would love to see India and Pakistan being friends and have a kind of European Union within the subcontinent. But I do not think it will happen in my lifetime. L
What kind of constitutional guarantees Pakistan offered for its majority ? Indeed in India minorities enjoy better constitutional rights than majority in Pakistan could offer. If I have to talk specifically, India welcomes meritocracy than religious beliefs. India produced, Muslim president, Sikh PM & President. One of air force Marshal was Muslim, Lt General of army was a Muslim. We have won U-19 cricket world cup won under Md Kaif. One of the top billionaire in India is Azim Premji ... list is never ending. You are referring to Kashmir, but then conveniently I have noticed Pakistani think tank ignores exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. I got to know first hand atrocities occurred to Hindus in Kashmir valley during Jan 1990 insurgency; not from one but at least 3 people in my contacts. History had proved religious divide never helped in the prosperity of civilization. As an interesting fact, maybe you might not aware ... Virat Kohli's grandparents migrated to MP in India during 1947. Lets assume then Pakistani establishment behaved in matured way, letting minorities to prosper ... if luck finds its way, he could have been playing from Pakistan. If I have to tell in my immediate ancestors ... there are / used to Muslim neighbours where my grandparents had a house. During 1947 they were in thoughts to migrate to Pakistan. Our seniors convinced them to stay here in India & they are happy of staying back in India. I have a good reason to believe; Pakistani establishment understands ... only way to keep Pakistan alive is by criticizing Hindus or India; otherwise due to common culture between both the countries; in absence of hate or animosity there is no time borders will easily get melted away.
@@theoutpost3608 Just refer to Article 30 in Indian constitution & point me any similarity in Pakistani constitution for the protection & interests of minorities. Article 25(B) if interpreted excluding Muslim, Christian, Jew worshiping places are treated same. Now what does this mean, their operations are monitored by govt so to avoid siphon age of funds. So far I understand its not applied to other religions ... they are more autonomous.
Pakistan need to start everything from scratch, all over again from zero, instead of trying to compete with India or Bangladesh the gov of Pakistan need to focus on its own development
Better if we focus on our own advantage instead of western. We should do business and better relationships with our neighbors. And make business with them. But we only go for wars and pro western policies this is not good for us.
In Round Table Conference, Sir Zafrullah Khan said that if an Indian soldier can sacrifice his life for the protection of British Empire, he can sacrifice his life for his own country India, within the Commonwealth or without the Commonwealth. At that time Ghandi and Nehru were in Jail listening Zafrullah Khan's speech on radio. They admitted to that what they could not say in India, how dare Zafrullah Khan said in London. At this the British Govt agreed to give freedom to India, for which All Indians should be thankful.
@Nation Builder it is late because no one cared all those years and were busy looking to the future. So now it seems late. Today also if you don't see this after 100 years it will be still late.
The British created Pakistan. Yes. Now it is accepted as a well know fact. But since 1947 it is the Americans who have nurtured Pakistan, its army and the country. Without American aid, Pakistan would have ceased to be a military state, and would have gone into an economic mode for development. The billions of dollars that america has poured into Pakistan, mainly in the form of military aid,has created a military mood in the country. It is not exactly Marshall Plan. If tomorrow america stops military aid, remove its bases and insists on an economic path to recovery, Pakistan would be a different country. But america is not going to do that, its obsession with Afghanistan, Al Qaida, muslim radicalism etc etc, would mean more of the same.

Is it true that the trains full of behead dead bodies were sending by both the India & pak or it was only started by one and then other was doing same in revenge
Who was instigating who
Please send me reply if you know about this?
There are allot of proof of Hindus activities that creat hate but couldn't mention because reply will become too long
Jinnah has blood of 10 million people in his hands.
Great discourse
well done!! dear . brought the correct interpretation

Please also see dr.Ishtiaq's inter view with Aftab Iqbal in wich he tells about partition and killing started by x british army soldier.
A lot of thanks to the scholars of the programme .
Mr Abbas such discussions are nice to know and Pakistanis to know that they have been taught wring history. But point is what next for Pakistan. Good or bad, Pakistan needs to move forward. How will that happen is the key thing.

The most logical, the most realistic presentation, Ishtiaq Saheb.
I salute you from my heart.pl have some light on then provincial govt of punjab.

You seem to be a progressive journalist, a hope for a better Pak and a better world.
Otherwise who in Pak would engage with vice voices of the likes of great scholar Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed and other sane assetts.

Sure buddy.
Let's help spread the light of freedom of expression. Only then the truth can reach to the masses and flourish.
Till now the Pak minds have been fed by the biased and zingoistic version of history to cater to their sentiments, prepared by the Pak establishment.
That's one of the main reasons of their regressive outlook for all other cultures and religions in the World.
He did not, ruled out the possibility of the whole of Bengal, joining up with Hindustan."
One cannot deny, that the British interests would indeed have liked this proposition. L
Finally a logic 👏👏👏
Keep it up bro ☺️
@@vikramdeshmukh1207 check your article 25(b) of your constitution before questioning Pakistan constitution.
@@vikramdeshmukh1207 read the explanation 2 of subclause b and tell me what does it tells you.

Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad has demystified the role and the personlity of MA Jinnah by explaining what his politics of religion was all about. Never before him, did anyone write about MA Jinnah so lucidly and argumentatively as Prof. Ishtiaq has done.

It is interesting history - A *Cabinet Mission came to India in 1946 in order to discuss the transfer of power from the British government to the Indian political leadership, with the aim of preserving India's unity* and granting its independence - it was a *joint India proposal* of Britain (although before 1947, India was already divided into multiple independent princely states as each state had its own currency, military and independent governmental system) joint India proposal that was offered when Nehru on behalf of Gandhi Jee rejected the prime offer proposed to Indian leadership. *That Mr. Jinnah accepted with exception to ensure minority rights in specific state* As Nehru jee wanted to eat the whole pie, Cabinet Mission prime offer was rejected along with the lame excuses. -- Question is who refused that prime offer of Joint India initially that Britain offered ??
-- Picture is very much clear now
1- Pakistan still part of Communist China and ready to give access to them so called "warm water" theory
2- The fact is till 1947 India was not "Joint India" in true sense -- already divided into multiple independent princely states -- it was not one nation before 1947
3- btw, *now socialist or leftist India is in the hands of Capitalist, not Socialist - Ready to fight on behalf of Capitalist and Imperialist US and UK against the interest of Communist Russia and Communist China*
PAKISTAN IS SO MEAN IN BESTOWING NISHAN-E-PAKISTAN ONLY TO MORARJI DESAI WHO ABORTED THE DESTRUCTION OF KAHUTA. ALL THE INDIAN PRIME MINISTERS EXCEPT VAJPAYEE AND MODI DESERVE THIS AWARD FOR CONTRIBUTING TO THE CAUSE OF PAKISTAN.
Power dictate division rule. divide is between power central
