Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is a direct sequel to the 2019 reboot, and will serve as the nineteenth installment in the overall Call of Duty series. It is scheduled to be released on October 28, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

According to dice the reason why the guns have a much higher pitch and less bass is because they expect some players to might play for many hours and they thought it would be nicer to play for that long if the gun volume would be lower aswell as less bass

Just when I thought they couldn't possibly do that much better than MW2019, they manage to do so by a huge margin; the increased lower-frequency impacts sound give MW2's the same feeling you get when feeling the force of a bass thud against your chest. As opposed to sounding like blended together fire crackers when in full auto. The same kind of kinetic energy you would normally only get from hearing semi-auto's resonate among the ambience in MW2019 now applies to full auto now in a way that's commanding, crisp, and thunderous. Absolutely love it

This is something the new MW games get right that so many devs get wrong.
I don't want my gun to sound "realistic", I want it to sound powerful.
facts like take the realistic sound and bass boosted with lots of lingering sounds.
So, you cant play Escape from Tarkov, Arma 3, Squad or even Insurgency Sandstorm because there are realistic weapons sound, even the sniper of the snipers the Barret .50
That's just preference, devs don't get it wrong because "Katar Milak" prefers loud sounds.

idk if anyone else noticed this but at 2:33 if you look closely you can see the mag accidentally hitting before going in, amazing attention to detail from the devs

A similar detail can be found on the MP5 in MW2 beta if you equip extended mags, and it looks even more noticeable too.
I wonder if those animations are in place depending on your weapon level progress? That would be really interesting and logical

portal was essentially done by the b team, so that explains the lower quality

@@fuckedlaptop364 they made medal of honor (2010) and medal of honor (2012), they have also helped develop bf3, bf4, bf1, bf5, bf2042 and portal. The reasoning for the animations being lackluster in portal is because they (supposedly) outsourced the animations to contractors

The only problem I have with the Beta is that some sounds like inserting a magazine, racking the bolt/pressing the bolt release and switching firing mode have no sound or are very quiet to the point that you can barely hear them. Then again it is a Beta so these issues will probably get fixed by launch.

the games basically complete at this point. Cod betas have always been more of a demo than an actual “beta” maybe some last minute tuning and fixes but the game at launch will probably be very similar to what we played, just without all the restrictions

Technically it's still there but not with most of the guns it's just with explosions and vehicle sounds and footsteps which are honestly great but a little to precise at times.
Shocks me how battlefield has an almost perfect Kriss sound but it's way to quiet honestly hope dice can update the weapon sounds because unironically they did a good job with some of the snipers and shotguns sounds but the others are far to quiet and lack the power sound while the others sound great aka being explosions rockets ect.

@@danplaguer3923 Well it's not because the muzzle flash isn't that blinding along with the flashs from gun powder exploding I've shot both ar 15 and Ak 47 and I could see more then you see while firing in MWII. Plus the recoil isn't really that bad believe it or not. Especially not with the M4 that guns actually pretty easy to handle in real life.
One would have to pray that Activision does not have the idea of doing the same with warzone.

Yeah, that animation is supposed to be for tactical reloads only and not for emergency reloads like in this video. However, it's still a neat little detail.

@@nomey07 safety is impractical? Do you not realize that u would have a bullet still in the chamber so if you take the mag out you would still shoot a bullet. The only argument you could make is when you fully empty the mag but gun safety matters more than anything. Empty or not.

@@sladepruitt564 They have not. One in the chamber means that if you do a tactical reload with an M4 equipped with a 30 round magazine for example, you should have 31 rounds inside the gun after the reload, instead of 30.

Battlefield 2042 has plastic weapons
MW audio design was excellent. BF2042 audio was shit. Such a huge downgrade from BFBC2. In graphics, BF2042 was slightly better than MW. May be due to saturated color pallet of 2042. In overall, MW2 was far massively better than BF2042. IMO, BF2042 was not a typical Battlefield game at all. The more i play 2042, the more i feel that. Even MW ground war did better than BF2042's conquest.

One note, all 3 games should be tested is similar surroundings. You got MW2 in between buildings and other 2 in open spaces. In real world they would sound different as well because there is no echo in open space. But good video 👍
True, but it wouldn't make such a huge difference, cuz the main sound is from the gun and how it shoots, the echo is just a bonus, so you only need to hear the gun and should sound the same everywhere.

Why do CoD guns always sounds so fake? It's weird that an America company can't just go to Vegas and physically record most of the weapons in their game... while little ass DICE from Sweden is like, yeah that Zero in BF5 is literally the sound of the last Nakajima Sakae in existence.

Been playing BF2042 for about 2 years now, and I gotta say (MW) has a much better gun sounds. It's heavier compared to BF2042, gun sounds, if only it was a mod to use for sounds to replace it. Since BF2042 has horrible gun sounds, some are good, but some are horrible. MW best gun audio

Man the new MW reloads seem more weak this time. The animation is smooth bunch it doesnt have that punch stress feeling like the last the we all loved. (Mostly the screen shake effects slapping in a mag)
Well the MW2019 reloads looked too aggressive for most people so I guess they decided to reduce the aggression in MW2

MW2 trumps BF. Damn those sick animations and sound design. The subtle motion blur from the weapon recoil is also fantastic and adds to the overall feel. So damn good.

most of the battlefield guns used in this video were portal guns, which honestly aren’t nearly as good sounding as the base guns are, so that’s a HUGE reason why they don’t sound as good as the ones in CoD. idk why the devs didn’t put any effort into making them sound as good as they did in previous BF games. a better comparison would be BF4 and that game is nearly 10 years old but still holds strong and is more of a modern warfare game

As a big fan of BF I can say that the best animations and sound was in BF1. BF2042 is the worse BF ever. MF2019 and MFII animations is on the other level.
Soon all fps games will follow the MW standard. Already, games like far cry brought MW vive.

WOW, they did it boys. Activision has finally made a true successor to mw2019, and buried bf to the ground. I'm buying this game. The beta is a little buggy, but the gameplay is so good. You can tell it's gonna be a good game on release. Only complaint is SBMM.. it's even in the beta.
Maybe wait until the reviews. if you watch critism from the cod father he makes alot of sense on why mw2 is trash (even though i enjoyed the beta)
