Thank you for doing this review! These are the exact two I have been deciding between. Coming from a Fitbit versa 2 that is trying to give up the ghost lol. Looking for a nice upgrade.
Great video, Abby! Thank you! I’m so glad you did the comparison. I have the Venu 3 & one of the little things it has which I love & use every night is the flashlight function. I use the middle button to access it quickly. It’s great when I turn off the lights before going to bed & not walking into the corner of the bed by mistake! (We have a small apartment. 😊) Thanks again!
Thanks for the review! I am interested in tracking swimming laps. Any info on how well it does that, what data does it give (i.e different types of strokes, lap / interval times, etc. but mostly how long will it stay waterproof?? My last 2 watches (not Garmin) were water damaged after 1 yr & 2 yrs, even though touted as great swim tracking, yet no warranty if water damaged. Thanks!
Hello, both can track swimming (ex.type of stroke & times) but you'll see more information on the Venu 3S. And both are water resistant up to 5am/50m. As long as you dont exceed those depths, and don't damage or crack the watch they should be water-resistant indefinitely.
@ Thanks for the reply Abby. Appreciate it! I am trying out the Lily 2 Active right now but a little nervous to take it to the pool so hopefully the track record of Garmin on this type of watch is good.
I have been wearing the Venu 3S in the same color Abby has since the end of January. I love the watch but fine dirt stains seems to be coating the middle parts all over the strap (basically everything that isn't an edge that normally would have mechanical action on the surface of it to keep fresh from dirt). I'm going to try actually applying soap and soaking it to see if it comes off.
@writofmandamus Hey, I'm not sure how you usually clean your Venu, but i just rinse mine with water, and sometimes wear it in the shower to keep mine clean. I also use rubbing alcohol to clean any tough spots on the band.
Initially said, I’m not going to watch this video for 13 minutes no way I just need to know what she prefers - well I did and it was VERY helpful! Thank you 💜
Abby flies in to my recommends like an Angel from the internet! RUclips algorithm (+ probably my cookies for searching these watches over the past 2 weeks) did you/me a solid ;) I NEEDED THIS VIDEO. Thank you so much! Im on the VERGE of buying 1 of these 2 for my wife and no one made a comparison besides some silly blogs online that are not as detailed as you are. The Venu 3S is a bit higher priced yes, but I can get this watch for 350 euro's (because of a 50 euro discount, normally its 400 euro's In The Netherlands) vs the 330 euro's the Lily 2 Active currently costs. (No discount yet, sadly) The biggest issue for me with the Lily 2 Active is that it is basically a 'slightly less optioned' VivoActive 5 but it's like 50-100 euro's more expensive at the same time compared to the VivoActive 5. That is nuts. If the Lily 2 Active was similarly priced to VivoActive 5 I would have bought this in a heartbeat by now. But alas, it isnt. The only thing that is a 'small' issue is that my wife has very thin wrists, so any watch larger than 40mm just looks a bit out of place. Hence with the 41mm the Venu 3S is, it's still a bit too big. But for 20-30 euro's more, you get like double the watch in terms of functionality. The videos of you moving your arm around and showing the device in its gold-ish color does help a lot, it's not thát out of place. But it's still difficult to decide. ;)
@LongTimeAgoNL I'm glad you enjoyed this video! That's definitely a better price with the discount, and i hope your wife loves the watch you end up choosing 😊
@@AbbyBReviewing I/we chose the gold Venu3S in the end. The exclusive deal/discount was too good to pass up. If the price of the Lily 2 Active was around that of the VivoActive 5, we would have definetly gotten that one. But alas, it musnt be sadly. And the gold/cream/grey color does blend in with her light skin so that you dont instantly see it as a "big sports watch" around a thin wrist. But you made this happen Abby, thank you for the review and comparison of these watches. :)
So conflicted! Lily 2 active is $300 right now and venu 3s is $350. I don’t need all the extra features that the Venu 3s has and I don’t care for a color display, still with just a $50 difference does it make sense to just the venu 3s? Lily 2 active just seems over priced, hoping it’ll go on sale coming up for Black Friday.
Hey! I provided the main differences, similarities and let you know which one I prefer in the video, and If your deciding between these two watches that decision is totally up to you, on which would suit your needs, preferences, and lifestyle best! And its unlikely the Lily 2 Active will go on sale for Black Friday as its still very new just released a few weeks ago.
Hi there! I've actually already done a comparison on the Garmin Venu 3S vs Venu 2S you can find that here for more info: ruclips.net/video/VoEAaiFXuv8/видео.html and I'd wait and stick with the Venu 2S myself but, it really depends on the features you are looking for and need from your smartwatch.
@nadiabonthuys8521 Hello, i don't find the website super accurate on that measurement. My wrist size is 7" or 17.7cm and they both fit me fine with some holes left over in the band as well.
Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE if you haven't 💜. And which watch would you pick? :)

Nice video Abby, very helpful! And i love the watch colours you have 😊

Thank you! Oh yes I can definitely see that feature being helpful at night, and I appreciate you sharing 😊
Very useful! Choosing between these two for my wife, so I have the answer, thanks!
Glad it was useful 😊
What did you decide with

I use an alcohol wipe on my Venu 3 daily. It keeps the watch clean & looking great.

Hello. I have to Garmin Venu 2S right now...should I upgrade to the Venu 3S or wait for the Venu 4S??? What do you think ?

May I ask your wrist size? I'm a 17.5 and all over it says 13-17mm? I always thought I had a small wrist but obviously not.
