    Love the tutorial. I just got into uv resin and this tutorial just saved me so much money and time. I would also like to suggest that patchment paper works great for those who can't find small silicon mats. I've used it for all kinds of projects that included 2 part resin and it has never failed me. Hope it helps.

    Hey Alex....sorry to stomp on Sophie's gig but you're paying WAY too much for their scammed UV resin love. I order mine from eBay for a 200g bottle for $19 !!!! Its the same exact resin. Sophie is just probably ordering the same stuff and slapping their stickers on the bottles and charging you guys double. Seriously, just go to eBay and type in "UV Resin" and you'll see it all man. Hope this helps. Its expensive enough as it is, I cant believe they're charging those prices. I use resin and this same resin daily, no issues, its amazing. Trust me. Hope this helps love. Thanks for the video, I'm gonna try it tonight! You rock!

    I love this idea for smaller, simple pieces that aren't worth breaking out the silicone mold kits for. Does your hot glue molds ever get too hard to pop a piece out of? I tried this once before and I don't know if the mold was just made too thick or if the glue hardened even more over time, but I could never get the resin to pop back out without ruining the mold.
    Also, I love that cute little silicone mat! Do you happen to remember where you got it from?

    • @PolymomoTea
      @PolymomoTea  7 лет назад

      The more complex the design of the object is, the more difficult it was to pop out for me. So I try to use smaller and simpler (flat/smooth surfaced) designs for my molds. The silicon mat came in a Japanese cooking set I believe

    Haha, I tried this like a year ago when I was getting into resin and they turned out so bad, but it was definitely because my glue gun pumped the glue out so slowly it would be hardening and lumpy. I ended up just buying silicone, but now that I've learned a lot I'd be curious to try this again just for fun.

  • @DanakarEndeel
    @DanakarEndeel Год назад

    Wow! Here is was trying to think of all kinds of weird stuff with clay or plaster when I can just use a hot glue gun and some UV resin instead. Thanks a lot! I'm going to check Amazon now to see if they sell any UV resin as I already have a hot glue gun in my shed.
    I wanted to make a second seat for a 1:72 P-51 Mustang so here's hoping the plastic seat won't melt from the hot glue. Because if not, then this would be the perfect method to make some quick mods for my Mustang kit.

      It might be that it wasn't mixed properly? Sometimes if you use a lighter/flame to pop out bubbles, the mold burns into the resin, giving the same problem as well
