  • Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing is a poem by James Weldon Johnson, written in 1900 for a reception for Booker T. Washington. Johnson's brother, John Rosamond Johnson, set it to music in celebration of Abraham Lincoln's birthday that same year. It has often been called the black national anthem.
Arranged for Talisman by Z McClelland and Nalini Calamur. Transcribed by Storm Staley.
