    Thank you Julessa,
I too have an issue when it comes to sketching. I'm not good at drawing.I really appreciate your openness and clarity. I'll try to start a sketchbook for future projects.
    Take care,
    Rebecca

You're welcome Rebecca! I think it's one of our least favorite things to do most of the time. And, it takes some time to make it a habit. I still struggle to do it on a regular basis. 😁

Hello Julessa, thanks for the advice. It's a honor to receive. Since we all seek understanding of our interests and meaning to our lives. Sharing is the perfect way to acknowledge that everyone is connected.

This is exactly what I’ve been struggling with! Thank you so much for sharing these tips on how to use the sketchbook! Sooooooo inspiring!

You’re very welcome. It’s not an easy thing to make a habit but if you do you’ll be able to go back to it for inspiration later. And if you pick a "pretty" one, you may use it more, so go ahead and find one that expresses you and draw and paint all over it! ☺️

I have the hand made leather cover sketchbook, I have pencils, pens, brushes, calligraphy brush, alcohol inks, water colours, pastels... You name it I've probably got it. I've drawn shapes to inspire me, drawn jewellery ideas that just don't look right, and I think the only inspiration I got was to tear out the pages. So you're telling me that I'm trying to start at the top of the ladder? Ok, I'll start taking the the lower steps as you advise and see how I go on the climb because my way sure isn't working. Thanks for the advice, it's much appreciated and I'll make sure I watch this video again. Just to remind me 🙂

I love the ladder analogy. Yep, one rung at a time and you'll get more and more inspiration as you find images and even research some of the symbolism of the shapes you seem to be drawn to. That will give you some insight into your intuitive selections. And, don't remove your "bad" drawings or ideas. They may also spark a new idea down the road when you have a chance to look at them again. Or, they may help you develop the ideas better or switch them up to express more of your thoughts around the original idea. I have tons of pages that look terrible, but I keep them. Plus, you can see your mood boards improve over time.
