Does anybody know if you can buy those plastic guides/clips? I've heard they are a bit prone to breaking, and I think a garage doing a window replacement on mine has broken one of them.
Had the same issue on my passenger side 1 month ago. The regulator cable rusted bad enough that it snap when my son closed the door. Last night I noticed the gritty grinding noise at a drive thru on my driver side. i know its toast. Total BS 2018 kept in the garage.
Sir I was looking for a good evoque convertible, but now realized the sad fact that convertible version might not fit in my dog. Because the car window next to driver doesn't go down fully. When closed it leaves some top part. However on the other hand, i thought, well....maybe I can transform it. Grind, change the whole window to other little size so that could hide 100% as other general cars' windows do. So heres my question to you. - Is it possible to grind car window of Evoque convertible? - are there any other options?

Do you think it would be worth greasing the new cables as a preventative measure?
yes you could
Yh once the mechs brake theres no fixing. Same for all cars. Simple click in door glass that.
