    Yep that issue of the blind spot indicator has a mind of its own. I also got freaked out think I'm going crash into something next to me. When I first got the car it caused me to swerve back to my lane and then noting there was actually nothing there.
    You get used to it and I no longer get freaked out, just do a quick mirror or blind check to make sure and go.

      It's very unsettling at first 😄

    Turbo engine will have a lot more problems in the future. Its been 4 years from 2019 and maybe after a couple more, you will feel a big difference in your wallet :D Also turbo models from 2020 to the end of 2021 have some oil problem, even after 5-6000 miles, which is not okay. And i dont know why most of the people in US , called the non-turbo engine some kind of slow ? Its actually pretty good acceleration (9,2 from 0-100km) for an SUV. It is not supposed to be fast like a sedan. They gave us that needed power with the turbo engine, but i think this makes Mazda an expensive car in the future, because 100% will have more problems from the standard engine :) The only positive thing is that its fun to drive, but when you go to some mechanic and.... not so fun :D Nice review!

      I was thinking the same. Do you own a NA CX5? Contemplating getting one

      @@Stormnorman15while this might be true, the newer NA engines have cylinder deactivation. I'm not a big fan of that as just about every company that's ever implemented. That technology has had a problem with it seems like for Mazda it's cracked heads which is a rather large repair. Now on the turbos you're going to have a whole other set of problems which seems to be the head gasket and possibly the turbo charger as they age. So the question becomes what set of problems would you rather deal with? I almost rather deal with turbocharger problems because at least that's rather straightforward and you're not tearing into the engine the NA does make plenty of power and would probably be fine if you didn't do a lot of highway driving or the people around. You did not drive like idiots and you had to get away from them rather quickly on a regular basis. I have a carbon edition and I love it. However, I have been contemplating upgrading to the turbo for the added power as once you drive the turbo model there's no going back

      is there a way to know if my car has turbo or not from vin? I have 2018 cx5 sport model

      2018 CX5 did not have a turbo option. That started in 2019.

      @@themockalove thank you for you reply. FYI, my 2018 cx5 only has 53100 miles and has a cylinder head hairline crack. After ordered a update version of the cylinder head and all the gaskets and replaced it, it still has a few drop of oil at the bottom of the manifold shield. My mechanic told me the cylinder head is a remanufacturing one not a brand new one and not responding to me now.

    In the Mazda interface the MMI system isn't so hard to figure out, it works well. But my little time with it in android auto is comical.

      The android auto is the most frustrating part indeed! It's a bit more straightforward in regular mode.

    Does it have the oil consumption issue like the 2021 models?

    My bad, I had the speed limit alert system on 😂.

    Sure the Turbo gives more power, but what about its reliability down the road?? Is it more things to go wrong??

    • @themockalove
      @themockalove  Год назад

      Theoretically, maybe more. But the reliability track record for these cars is very good so far

    Is engine compression the same between turbo and non turbo? I'm worried of high compression over time causing issues.

    • @themockalove
      @themockalove  Год назад

      I'd imagine it's higher on the turbo

    • @thetechlibrarian
      @thetechlibrarian 10 месяцев назад

      @@themockaloveno engine compression needs to be lower on turbo cars to prevent detonation. It's 13 to 1 in the states or 14 to 1 overseas on the naturally aspirated vehicle on the turbo model. It's 9 to 1
