Nice Dan. Enjoy seeing your underwater footage. As a fisherman I'm always looking to learn and it surprised me to see those flathead sitting in such rocky areas. I'd always thought off them more as sand flat and weed edge dwellers. Would be hard on SP's but trolling HB's would be the go!

Great vids mate, for someone from another country who will soon be living in Brissy this is absolute gold. You are doing the exact things I have in mind for when Im there and Im loving your vids. How is that Darche swag? Swags are a new thing to me, they arent very popular outside Aus but they look like you can setup anywhere really.
Thanks mate, appreciate you being here. I’m a pretty big fan of the swag, super sturdy, comfortable and plenty of room. Downside would be the size of it, my last trip in the boat I took a tent and I really enjoyed having something a lot smaller to take. Although once it’s setup you can’t beat the swag 👌 what country do you live in and are you into spearfishing too?
@@danyoungy Im from South Africa, been wanting to get into spearing for a while but the fishing isnt great and its full of Great Whites where I live. Its something I want to get into in Aus. I guess I will need to see a swag in person to decide on the size, I have only ever seen them on RUclips.

Digging the Shimano shirt, I always wear shirts in the sun but I guess your one has sun protection built in? Looks like they don’t sell them in the UK, I’ll have to order one from Australia.
Quick question, what environment are you diving in this video? Is it a saltwater creek, a tidal estuary, a lagoon? We don’t get anything like that over here. Do you have to worry about sharks?

I’m spearing here is a river actually. Couple kms from the mouth/ocean. There aren’t many rivers here in Australia that you can legally spear but this one you can and it can be very clear as well! Sharks aren’t really an issue in this river, not in the clean section I’m diving. There would be bull sharks in the upper reaches where it’s a lot dirtier
Be careful of flatty Rob, He’s known to stalk those mangroves

How have you found the darche dusk till dawn swag? Have you tried using it in the boat? Any problems with the dome poles snapping? I’m considering getting one to use on my 5m runabout.
Hey Craig, I actually snapped one side with the original poles 3 trips ago. Went into tent world & got the heavy duty replacement poles for it. So I have a spare set as well now… I think the new ones may come with the heavy duty ones without the string.. other then that I love it, never tried putting in my boat, your boat should work perfect 👍
