@Saleem Frazer Even funnier is that in that movie's continuity, before dying, Loomis said that Michael's body needed to be cremated to be sure he's gone for good. That's exactly what they ended up doing and it *still wasn't enough*

@Osman Yousif Building another survivalist compound with her daughter and granddaughter as soon as she hears in the news that Michael's body wasn't found, I'd wager.
2:52 I like to imagine that at this point some small part of Michael was impressed by Laurie's cleverness and her will to survive. Just as he's been waiting all these long years to kill her, she has been waiting to kill him. And that one, teeny, tiny moment of understanding is probably the closest he'll ever get to connecting to another human being (if we can even consider him human).
In this timeline Michael wasn't obsessed with Laurie, Laurie was more obsessed with Michael. Michael had already forgotten about Laurie and could care less about her. It was just a twist of fate (and Laurie following Michael) that they happened to bump into eachother.
@@ariadnefrolich7243 I find this very interesting, for me Michael is a kind of hunter and has fun when his hunt is strong enough to fight him, most of his kills are quick and emotionless, but when he kills Laurie's daughter he is quite slow, as if he was enjoying himself after a long hunt, he made sure he enjoyed every moment, in fact it's quite bizarre to think that the way Michael kills is the closest to a human he can get.
In this film the directors wanted to make Michael more human, rather than just some relentless killer who doesn't feel any pain. The fact he bleeds and feels the pain was the intention of making him more scarier, whether that worked I don't know.
@@andylivsey7163 He was scary the moment that you realize near the start of the movie he's 60 years old and eats a crowbar to the head. That alone is enough to make him scarier the fact that he's more human.

Im 32 years old and fell in love with Halloween (1978) when I was about 7 or 8 years old and would watch it religiously as a child. My parents saw Halloween (78) in theaters back when they first began dating. Halloween (2018) was a great homage to the original, at least for me, and was so nostalgic. I can just imagine how it is for their generation that were around when the original film first came out and have been watching Michael Myers become an iconic horror movie villain like Frankenstein and Count Dracula.
It was gratifying to realize that even though she didn't agree with her mother, she still took the training to heart. It shows that despite all the arguments she had with Laurie, a small, hidden, part of her mind still believed that maybe her mother was right.
This movie is a good example of showing women being strong without it coming off as forced. This is good female representation! "I can't do this:((((...gotcha." *Headshot* Like hell yeah
1:33 Are nobody gonna talk about a frying pan was more effective At knocking Myers out than a Bullet to His Right cheekbone those bullets have Force when It hits or makes contact
MR David Motherfucking KING pay attention to the strike. The bullet grazed him, but that second hit from the frying pain was all nose. He was definitely out for a couple seconds.
That wasn’t just a frying pan. It looked like a cast iron. Cast irons are heavy and can absolutely be used as a weapon. Go to any cookware store or a BJ’s and look for cast irons to see how heavy they are. Great for cooking steaks. It looked like a small cast iron, and she uses two hands to hit him with it.
Anyone noticed that Michael never bleeds? I mean… he got his fingers blown off and there’s almost NO BLOOD loss. You’d be bleeding like CRAZY if that were you. He’s Evil incarnate for sure.
@@Bignfluffy You're missing the point, but you do you. Could've sworn I was pointing at the fact that he had almost no blood loss, making him inhuman, not that he didn't bleed entirely. I'm just gonna assume you missed the point.
After watching Halloween Ends...this, at least for me is the REAL ending of the franchise, even this fight between Michael and Laurie was more intense and personal than the one I saw in Halloween Ends.
2:50 He tiled his head slightly like to say “oh interesting, so this is your plan” He only moved his head like that after killing someone so this was a bit surprising
I’m no director, but if I had to choose the ending, I’d have it be Michael staring at the audience not moving an inch or reacting to the fire at all, while the camera slowly zooms in on his face as the main Halloween theme plays. I think it’d look absolutely terrifying, and it’d also show that he’d most likely survive the fire...but there would always be that possibility that he died. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this??
They did that here in a way. When the fire starts, he just stands there emotionless and cold. Even as the fire blazes over his head, no reaction other than staring obsessively at his prey.
3:16 exactly how I feel as I get stunned from a decisive strike while watching my survivors running out of the gate right infront of my face as the Entity blocks me from continuing the chase...
That "Gotcha" moment was executed so perfectly. The way the music goes suddenly silent just to hear her say that. One of the moments in the whole franchise.
He isn't supernatural in this one but I did notice that the ways michael was beat, shot, stabbed, hit by a car, beat with a frying pan, fingers blown off, which all these are examples somebody that's not supernatural would die from. I believe he might not be human still.
ALPHA He still has that supernatural element to him; it’s just that it’s been toned down. The key issue here is how you interpret the original H'78 in general. Does Myers possess a certain ineffable, supernatural or metaphysical type of evil that makes possible his inhuman ability to not be stopped and/or killed of which Loomis is convinced? ....or is Myers a psychological and biological anomaly, and is thus able to take more hits than is humanly typical, yet still survive? That's the ultimate question. The brilliance of the original film is the ambiguity. It's a story mostly told by suggestion and imagery and little exposition beyond Loomis' dialogues, thus it requires a considerable degree of subjective interpretation on the part of the viewer to make sense of. You have to look at the depiction of Myers as it unfolds in the course of the original film. He progressively gets more severely damaged as the film progresses; first he's able to punch through solid wooden doors with no apparent damage to his hand, the needle in the neck, then the wire hanger stab in the eye, stabbed in the chest, and lastly shot six times and blasted off a two-story balcony. When he vanishes -- and we see the series of shots of all the locations where he's been and where he could be, accompanied by his breathing in the background -- what is suggested is that you can't kill him like an ordinary human. He's unstoppable. It's like he's an omnipresent entity and a force of nature that can appear anywhere with a gust of wind blowing along/through the autumn leaves. There's a clear arch going on there where, by the end of the story, he's totally transcended what can be understood as the ordinary human condition restricted by finite human limitations. In this new film, he isn't this regenerative superhuman that can grow back his eyeballs and take 20 cops blasting him full of holes and fall down a well and go into a coma for a year while a hermit takes care of him in the middle of Illinois and all that nonsense.
0:18 Aww Laurie put Karen’s initials on the gun. I think she then realized how much Laurie loved her, genuinely cared about her, and wanted to protect her. Beautiful clip ❤️
I’m kind of shocked that this piece of music wasn’t brought back in Ends. The Shape Burns” is Easily the most effective and emotional piece in movie, in my opinion.

Are nobody gonna talk about a frying pan was more effective
At knocking Myers out than a Bullet to His Right cheekbone those bullets have Force when It hits or makes contact
MR David Motherfucking KING pay attention to the strike. The bullet grazed him, but that second hit from the frying pain was all nose. He was definitely out for a couple seconds.
To be fair, the frying pan did knock him down a flight of stairs. The one-story fall was probably what knocked him out.
Or a old man who got shot on the movie dragged him down the street
That wasn’t just a frying pan. It looked like a cast iron. Cast irons are heavy and can absolutely be used as a weapon. Go to any cookware store or a BJ’s and look for cast irons to see how heavy they are. Great for cooking steaks. It looked like a small cast iron, and she uses two hands to hit him with it.

0:46 Michael movements are so cool
2:50
He tiled his head slightly like to say “oh interesting, so this is your plan”
He only moved his head like that after killing someone so this was a bit surprising
Isaac White That would be a dark ending, but it certainly would be cool if that was the end of the Halloween franchise
They did that here in a way. When the fire starts, he just stands there emotionless and cold. Even as the fire blazes over his head, no reaction other than staring obsessively at his prey.
Ooooh Shame they didn’t do that but maybe do it at Halloween Ends? That would be cool

Can't kill something that's already dead!
He isn't supernatural in this one but I did notice that the ways michael was beat, shot, stabbed, hit by a car, beat with a frying pan, fingers blown off, which all these are examples somebody that's not supernatural would die from. I believe he might not be human still.
@@shesaidwhat2491 I wouldn't say he isn't supernatural, but at the same time he's not undead either.
He never died
Is that quote from The Night Comes for Us?
0:18 Aww Laurie put Karen’s initials on the gun. I think she then realized how much Laurie loved her, genuinely cared about her, and wanted to protect her. Beautiful clip ❤️
I’m kind of shocked that this piece of music wasn’t brought back in Ends.
The Shape Burns” is Easily the most effective and emotional piece in movie, in my opinion.
When he first got in the house, Laurie fired a shot from the safe room so micheal probably tore open that part and climbed out before he could be burned
Yooo come to think of it actually makes a bit sense huh?
Thats a actually a very good examination kudos my dude
🤔 yeah I guess I could see that happening, but then how would he survive his Burns
@@artmienz3077 Same as he survived getting shot and stabbed countless times throughout the various movies.. the curse of thorn gives him supernatural strenght, durability and healing factor to sustain him until his task is completed...basically, as long as his mission is not completed, he cannot die.
