    Nice job on the rig! It'll be a few years before I have the room to put mine together but it's never too early to start planning and your video definitely helps with some ideas. I also love the interaction with your child...priceless!

    I was thinking about doing just this!!! I'm glad to see a working fram. I want to use one with a VR helmet. Nice work!!!!Did you think about, running all the wires through the PVC Pipe? How about mounting the speakers?

    Do you have some sort of schematic with measurements? And the parts that went in to it? I'm thinking of building one myself and i am now making up a budget of how much of what i need. I've seen the one on insideracing but this one looks more sturdy. Thanks in advance

  • @slowster2945
    @slowster2945 9 лет назад

    On the whole "disassembly at a later date" argument, why build the rig in 3 or 4 main parts? Each part could be glued together, and then use screws to fasten the separate 'parts' for the final assembly?

    • @slowster2945
      @slowster2945 9 лет назад

      Slowster Also, gotta say that the more I see custom cockpits the more I want to build my own. I'm at a desk for now, but looking to the future. The satisfaction you have in your own work makes the task just that much more appealing! I really hope you got into a house. What are you racing with now???

  • @fifaking1909

      2" PVC is usually recommended schedule 40. Sch40 is thicker walled tube

      Bowtie Thirteentwenty you should get a oculus rift dk2. its really hard for me to go back to screen gaming. there is just no speed sensation or immersion with screen. don't forget oculus is NOT A 3dtv!! day and night difference

      Usually 2" PVC schedule 40 is recommended, it has a thicker wall and is more sturdy. :)
