    We want to visit Yosemite in future!!! Such a beautiful park!

      Yosemite is such a special place. If possible, take your time there. One of the reasons we wanted to make this video is because so many people (rightfully so) focus on the valley, but this sequoias forest is insane!!! Put it high on your bucket list!

    Is it possible to take a jogger stroller through the washburn trail?

    • @JustAdrift
      @JustAdrift  4 года назад +1

      Hi Brizeida! I think it’s possible, but not suggested. The Washburn trail was a little steep at places and fairly dusty. You have a couple options: take the road that’s closed off with the stroller to the Big Tree Loop (you may have to scope this out as we did not check how far this is) OR wait till the later part of the day 5-6 pm when they take the roadblocks down and drive on into where you can park. A third option could be to get to the south entrance parking and ask the ranger for a temporary handicap pass for the Big Tree Loop area so you can drive on in. Once you get to the Big Tree Loop it’s incredibly well maintained and stroller appropriate. Let us know how it goes !

      @@JustAdrift Thank you so much for this! It's our first time going so just trying to see what is stroller friendly but I will definitely look into everything you just mentioned! Thanks again

      We are happy to help. Thanks for checking out the video. Did you get a reservation for the park? If not, check out our video for getting in to Yosemite last minute. Thanks!!

    How long did it take you with the extra two miles?

    • @JustAdrift
      @JustAdrift  3 года назад +2

      Another 45 min or so. It was a relatively flat trail section. I hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the video.

    Do you need a permit to hike around Mariposa Grove?

    • @JustAdrift
      @JustAdrift  4 года назад

      Hi Ariana! If you are entering the park in a vehicle, you do need a reservation or permit to get in. Because Mariposa Grove parking is so close to the south entrance, it is possible to park outside of the gate and walk or bike in without a permit/reservation. We drove in, but we saw other people walking in. I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. Have fun!

    Do you need reservation to go to the park?

    • @JustAdrift
      @JustAdrift  3 года назад +2

      Yes, they do require a reservation. Things are ever changing but we did do a video a few before this one on getting in. Hope you have a wonderful time ❤️

      @@JustAdrift We are planning to see Sequoia Park and I am wondering is it still worth to go to Mariposa Grove ?

    • @JustAdrift
      @JustAdrift  3 года назад +2

      Hi Barbara! I think that depends on how much time you have. If you only have a couple days, I would say spend them in the valley. If you have a third day, or you want to drive the park, check out Mariposa Grove. It's a winding, hour drive to get to the Mariposa Grove from the Valley. I hope that helps!

      I do not think you need a reservation to get into Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park. We can't say enough about Sequoia National Park. The place is truly special. It feels like being in some sort of far off, fairy tale land. We are kinda nerdy so we loved learning about the trees. Plus the park usually isn't crowded so there is a good chance at seeing wildlife. It's were we saw our first bear in the wild!
