Hi Cheryl. Those stuffed pancakes look delicious. You can’t go wrong with meat and potatoes. I’ve had potato cakes before but have never seen them stuffed. Thank you so much for the recipe!
Oh Cheryl these look so good can’t wait to make them…. I would imagine that cheese and onion would be good too yum yum delicious… definitely a winner ❤
Just found your site, I love everything Potatoes ( it is 5:30 am here in Nova Scotia ) This is going to happen tonight. Big thumbs up. Thank you for your how to do. Now I am off to work and I will be going through all of your posts/videos tonight. Thank you for posting. David
I haven't seen this recipe before, they look delicious and what a great spin on mince and tatties! Thank you Cheryl, I'm sole carer for elderly parents, and coming up with supper ideas to tempt their appetites is tough. Your superb food channel is truly a Godsend! Much love to you & yours from Gloucestershire. XXX
Good evening Cheryl & thanks for sharing your newest recipe. A new take on fusion cuisine - Tatties & Mince meets Crispy Pancakes meets Tattie Scones!🤭😆 Hope they went down a treat & the family enjoyed them. Take care & enjoy the rest of your week! xx 👩🏻🍳🥞💕💞🩷
I already saved it without watching it! It looks so appetizing and I know these are gonna be divine ❤I am definitely going to make these pancakes during this weekend :)
In the very early eighties in a local east coast seaside town where we found a small freezer shop. This shop sold several frozen food items we had never seen before. One of which was called a Roundas. They were made from potatoes mainly but the fillings were awesome. Chilli Beef, Savoury Chicken, Curry Sauce, Minced Beef and Onion, Baked Beans with Cheese. Your take on this idea is really interesting. Maybe trying the sauce based items, they may need to be made in two half's and then put together to make one rather than folding over to make the cake/pancake. Love your work hun.
Good cooking, butter with some oil is nicest base for frying. I still remember the taste of 8am breakfast when I was 3, that my grandmother cooked on a fuel stove for when the men came back from milking. Nice steak cooked in butter in a Windsor walled small wrought iron pan. Probably her wedding gift.
Well Cheryl, I live and learn everyday...... I've never heard about adding salt until the water has boiled first, otherwise it takes longer to come to a boil if its added to cold water, thats a complete news item for me 😮 Cheers DougT
These look great Cheryl. Be good also as a main meal with maybe peas & onion rings. That's if they lasted that long of course !! Be great just dipped into mayonnaise or mustard. Definitely want to give these a go, look quick, easy &chorizo expensive thanks Cheryl
I agree will so many comments here - this looks like MUST HAVE NOW! Straight away! LOL Thank you once again . . . I shall be making these soon and reporting back to you . . . .
Thank you! Years ago, I wondered about making stuffed potato pancakes, but never tried; just as well, because the idea I had would have failed. I live alone, so do these freeze well, or should I reduce measures of ingredients?
Tried making a vegan version of this tonight (used aquafaba for the egg). They’re very interesting and pretty weird. A bit stodgy for my liking, I think they’d go great with a side of baked beans rather than a dipping sauce.
Good evening everyone :) Thank you for joining me for this week’s recipe video! I’ll be down in the comments for a wee while…come and say Hello! 🙃

My Dad was Welsh and used to make these for us but he would grind up vegetables in it too. Gosh, I miss him.❤
May I ask what vegetables and how did he grind them, thank you

Thank you! Years ago, I wondered about making stuffed potato pancakes, but never tried; just as well, because the idea I had would have failed. I live alone, so do these freeze well, or should I reduce measures of ingredients?
Just wondering could these be stored in the fridge for a few days or do they have to be eaten on the day?
Wonderful idea. Hav you ever froze them before cooking to save for another time?
Can the cooked pancakes he frozen? And if so, for how long? Is it better to freeze before or after frying? Thanks
