    I’m a massive fan of crocodile meat. I’d have had a struggle to not shoot one for an awesome meal. You can get farmed croc meat but it’s very expensive, it takes on whatever flavour you want but a hot curry is unbeatable.

    • @russellking9762

      Really...can you describe the texture and flavour for me and whoever please?

    • @glenbaker4024
      @glenbaker4024 Месяц назад

      @@russellking9762 It has a very slight fish flavour and the texture is much the same as as fish or well cooked tender chicken. Blue grenadier is the closest I can think of. The tail and the legs have different textures, similar to the difference between chicken breast and thigh.

      @@glenbaker4024 How would it hold up to a slow stewing served atop steamed long grain rice?

    • @glenbaker4024
      @glenbaker4024 Месяц назад

      @@russellking9762 I think it would likely disintegrate if cooked for too long. I usually give it a quick fry or grill and add it to a curry sauce. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of videos and recipes for cooking it on RUclips. I would expect all crocodilians would have very similar flesh so alligator recipes would work.

      If the water is relatively clear you will see it, but still remain cautious, crocs generally prefer discoloured water. If the water is shallow but murky you would be able to see the crocs wake as it came towards you. If the water is murky but deep stand well back.
