    What is the point of having no driver? I fail to see any benefit.

    • @katandantonio
      @katandantonio  Год назад +1

      The argument for it I guess could be that if you commute a lot and for 30 + minutes, you could use that time for work or rest instead of working. But I guess it depends on how much you drive. Thank you for watching and commenting!

      You are missing the point. Take the driver out an Uber and price drops 80%. If Uber was 20% current price would you use Uber more. Of course you would!! Now, do you need a second car? Probably not! Do you even need a car at all.? Possibly not! That means less cars on the road but busier. The benefits are way beyond anything you are considering. Not least of all, no car parks needed. More interestingly, grandparents barred from driving for poor health / eyesight dementia remobilised and reinvigorated by social opportunity. Children carried safely and quickly to school all without you being parent Uber!! It's not minor....its a seismic change!!!

    • @scrappy7571
      @scrappy7571 Год назад

      @@markthomas7279 Price won't drop because the vehicle will cost 10X more to purchase and the infrastructure cost from the driverless computer company subscription monthly charges. Insurance cost will probably increase too.

    What would you rather have on the streets?? The Waymo car, or my 98 year old mother in her prius? (Yes, she was issued a new license by the DMV). So, you decide. Ill take waymo any day.

      Um I think you're missing the part where this driver has 9 cameras on eye side of the car and has a huge lidar system on top. Making the car be able to see in 360 degrees it doesn't speed get distracted or anything. It doesn't get road rage and can see 3 football fields away. The car is made more for safety also some people maybe anxious so having no driver is better or for women at night
