~ Honorable Mentions: Koopa's Road - Super Mario 64 Athletic - Super Mario Bros. 3 In the Final (The Grand Finale) - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Super Bell Hill - Super Mario 3D World New Donk City - Super Mario Odyssey Beach Theme - Super Mario 3D Land
Singing Piranha Plant first introduced in 90s in the TV Commercial of Mario new launching game but the language is Japanese and then years later in Mario Bros Wonder they made it a Singing Piranha Plant
You saw that Nintendo released a music app and wasted no time giving us recommendations. Bravo for you. Now if only all of these games were in the catalog.
I know it's not a stage, but "Forest of Illusion" might be my favorite piece of Mario music. Super Mario World Castle music on the list was a nice surprise.
Look, I love the original theme, but even I wouldn’t let nostalgia get the better of me. “Jump Up Super Star” is what I consider to be a masterpiece. Not only is it the first Mario song to have lyrics, it's on par with “Wake up, Get up, Get out There!” From Persona 5 and “Simple and Clean” from Kingdom Hearts. That's how good that song is.
@@romanopenscards8457 No, they are not off. These show two mistakes in the video. One is minor and stupidly common, but the other one is completely misleading.
Very interesting picks. All of these songs from the Mario franchise are definitely awesome. Although I feel like there could've been others in it, like the Wing Cap theme from Mario 64, or Bowser's Road from a few of the Galaxy games, or the staff role to either New Super Mario Bros Wii or Mario 3D World. And if we're allowed to mention spinoffs, The Grand Finale from Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story has to be at least in the top 10.
Yeah you forgot some songs! Specifically, "In The Final," Dark Bowser's theme from Bowser's Inside Story! And the Prince Mush battle theme from Thousand-Year Door remake! WatchMojo, you've got a lot to learn about what the Mario fan community REALLY LOVES!
They don't actually care about the Mario RPGs. That's why the only theme from one on this list is also the most well-known (after The Grand Finale/In The Final).
Pretty generic picks, tbh. The most interesting was probably the Yoshi's Island Underground theme instead of the usual SMB 1-2 that has been remixed and reused countless times. Also, I'll never not find it funny how people incorrectly call it "11:09".
Ones I think should’ve gotten honorable mentions include the Underground Theme from from Super Mario Bros. The Overworld Theme from Super Mario Bros. 3, the Athletic Thene from Super Mario World, the Underground Theme from Super Mario 64, the Bowser’s Road Theme from Super Mario 64, and/or the Cascade Falls Theme from Super Mario Odyssey. …hey, we’ve got the makings of a follow-up video here!
@@Falchion1984 do you think I could just casually list them all, that’s not the point, the point is in general so many of these are overrated and not deserving of the actual musical masterpieces that aren’t surface level popular
The fact that you guys put the final boss theme from Yoshi's Island as #20 is wild. It's one of the most fucking epic Mario songs ever, should be higher than 10
If y'all ask me, Rainbow Road from *Mario Kart: Double Dash!!* and Break Free (Lead the Way) from *Super Mario Odyssey* both should've been on this List. They're both Super Underrated *Super Mario* Songs and Themes I Absolutely Love.
SO happy for no. 1! My late aunt introduced me to Mario, and she even worked at Jaleco for a time; the company that produced the game units that we all blew into when they skipped in hopes that would make 'em work! 😂
I know the Rainbow Road theme from Mario Kart 64 is a majestic tune, but the theme from SNES Rainbow Road is my favorite (even though I’m clumsier than a blindfolded drunk whenever I drive on it).
I was hoping the Doopliss battle theme from Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door would be mentioned. Or Shiver Mountain from the first Paper Mario. Those are some incredible video game tracks right there!
Those who don't know Singing Piranha Plant was already show in 90s on some commercial tv that 3 Piranha Plant singing in the city and also the Odyssey first introduced that Mario can possess anyone.
That sounds freaking hilarious there's an episode Tommy's reunited with his easily offended brother. Just runs out offended. I need to find that ep haha
Geez, how can you forget Super Mario Bros. 3 Athelitc Theme? I'd also had pickes Super Mario Bros. Wonder's Atheltic Theme and SNES Mario Kart's Rainbow Road
Honorable mentions: Sea Side Map theme SMB3, Star man (invincibility theme) SMB, mini boss theme SMB 3, Ghost House theme Super Mario Galaxy, I’m not nice (mimi battle) Super Paper Mario.
I was expecting to see the Underwater Theme from Super Mario World or the Beep Block Skyway from Super Mario 3D World, I think they're catchy. And Piranha Plants on Parade should definitely be close to number 1.
My top picks 1 Super Mario Bros Main theme 2 Jump Up Super Star 3 Chainlink Charge (3D World) 4 Cloudtop Cruise (Mario Kart 8) 5 3D World End Theme 6 Sydney Sprint (MK8D) 7 Super Smash Bros 4 Opening 8 Boss theme (SMB2)
It might surprise you what I'm about to say, but the Smash series isn't part of the Mario franchise. A Smash Remix of a Mario song would count as a Mario theme, but anything else would not.
How could you forget this? LOL Do the Mario Swing your arms from side to side Come on, It's time to go Do the Mario Take one step, and then again Let's do the Mario, All together now! You got it! Fun fact: The first game to introduce the countermelody into the Starman theme was Yoshi's Island with "Powerful Infant." This was later used in Super Mario 64 and many subsequent Mario games.
No we didn't forgot a Mario song on the switch like Steam Gardens Super Mario Odyssey and Fury Bowser Bowser's Fury and Jump Up, Super Star Super Mario Odyssey and Piranha Plants On Parade Super Mario Bros Wonder and Melty Monster Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Electrodome Mario Kart 8 and Castle Theme Super Mario World and Bob-omb Battlefield Super Mario 64 and Gusty Garden Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy and Dire Dire Docks Super Mario 64 and Athletic Theme New Super Mario Bros and Slide Theme Super Mario 64 and Main Theme Super Mario Brothers
How can you leave out the underground theme from Super Mario brothers? It goes from the #1 recognized Mario theme to the #2 recognized theme in that game.
What about the various musical sounds from the Donkey Kong games? Like the Savannah terrains from the Tropical Freeze game, the sounds bring the vibes of Disney’s The Lion King, Or the Classic sounds from the OG or original Donkey Kong trilogy game.
With "Super Mario," they probably meant the entire Mario franchise in terms of games, excluding Donkey Kong. I know it's confusing because it usually refers to the mainline Mario series.
16:58 Don't get me wrong, I love the music, but why is the track named after Dire Dire Docks when Jolly Roger Bay is the first level it appears in? 18:01 First off, that's New Super Mario Bros Wii, not New Super Mario Bros DS. And secondly, that's the regular Overworld theme, not the Athletic theme.
First, Koji Kondo either preferred the name with triple alliteration or Dire Dire Docks was simply finished earlier into development, so he composed for that stage. I could be wrong, though. Second, I realized the same, but it didn't trigger me as much as 11:09 (iykyk).
Where's the Mario 3 and Yoshi's Island Athletic theme? Inside the Castle Walls from Mario 64? (It's pretty much become Peach's theme at this point) Dark Rooms/Luigi's Mansion Theme? Birabuto Kingdom from Super Mario Land?

Buoy base galaxy is a personal favorite of mine

There's always lots of different awesome Mario musics

You forgot Super Mario bros 3 music
The soundtrack of Super Mario Odyssey is why I play the game so much.
Maple treeway from many mario kart titles is my favorite theme. It has a refreshing and relaxing melody. It's a breath of fresh air and it's dreamy. 😊
Dire Dire Docks has always been my favorite! Its so calm and relaxing, taking all my worries away while feeling so nostalgic.
It's criminal that Jump Up Super Star isn't somewhere in the Top 10
Damn when are you all gonna get that those tops are voluntary controversial to get more comments and so more views
Good ngl the song is kinda annoying imo sing another song one trick pony

Koopa's Road - Super Mario 64
Athletic - Super Mario Bros. 3
In the Final (The Grand Finale) - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Super Bell Hill - Super Mario 3D World

Beach Theme - Super Mario 3D Land
the grand finale is better than every single song in this video
Singing piranha plants 🥺 that’s adorable 😍
Also music park is one of my favourites 👌🏼
Singing Piranha Plant first introduced in 90s in the TV Commercial of Mario new launching game but the language is Japanese and then years later in Mario Bros Wonder they made it a Singing Piranha Plant
One of my favorite song of Super Mario is Bowser singing about Princess Peach, and Jack Black is such an outstanding singer.
The music of Bowser Jr. Boss battle in Mario Party 9 is one of my absolute favorites.
Of course! Like the first theme for Legend of Zelda, 18:38 is the most well-known and not surprised that it's number one on this list.
Athletic Theme (Yoshi's Island)
Rainbow Road (Mario Kart Wii)
Maple Treeway (Mario Kart Wii)
Bowser's Castle (Mario Kart 64)
3DS Rainbow Road is one of the greatest pieces of music in video game history.

So happy Gusty Garden Galaxy is in the Top 3. It’s one of the most beautiful and definitive tracks of the franchise!. 💫🌍

"Remix 10" from Super Mario Run narrowly beat "Jump Up, Super Star!" in terms of being the first mainline Mario song "to have lyrics."
Bowser's theme from Mario 64, Bowser's theme from Mario 3, Bowser's Rage Stage (final battle), seriously guy has too many awesome themes to count.
This list is made by someone who has never made it past world 1-1
I believe 11:09 and 18:00 are enough evidence.
