Monday was a great start!! The something of April was a bonus give your foggy head. HubNut with bed head works well. Hot water, lemon, honey and assorted pharmacological products will have you back at it
Hand over to Ms Hubnut for a while or sit at home and push out some edited compilation videos. Your top ten road tests, worst cars you've ever driven etc.
Brilliant Idea. Few other Ideas. Top 10 -- Hubnut cars to buy right now, before there are none left Ms Hubnut's -- Dream Daihatsu Garage Cutting Room floor -- Compilation of Bloopers or clips we didn't see from New Zealand and Australia and other trips Compilation of Collection Capers Ms Hubnut's -- Carry on Hubnut -- A montage of Ms Hubnuts Double entendre' (not mentioning any recent videos and a certain pub) and Bob's 60 second performance. Hubnut cars in TV and Movies -- The top ten best(worst) Hubnut cars in tv and movies, Delboy's Reliant, or Terry and Junes Austin Princess, or Julie Bravo's Allegro Panda car. Get Well soon Ian
Get well soon! One of the obigations of being self-employed AND having a family to care for is to have a plan B for when illness or accidents take you out for weeks or months. Because that can always happen. I hope you recover quickly, but you should think about having a plan B for next time.
Get well soon Ian. If you need a little downtime please take it. Your loyal subs will still be here. Your health is priority to all of us who follow the channel. Take care and thanks for letting us know.
Much to do in the shed but you have to be in the zone for it.... Im lucky that I am rarely sick and if you ever see me taking medicine, you'll know it must be bad. Our kids are virtually grown up (do they ever 🙄) but they used to bring every bug known to medicine home when going to school.
Hope you feel well soon Ian, so sorry to hear you're unwell. Maybe Ms Hubnut could take over for a bit, while you recover at home and get some well earned sleep. We're all thinking of you Ian, get well soon.
Ian, with the on going mullet you need to buy a car, sight unseen, that has been sitting in a field for 15 years, maybe with a nest of hornets living in the drivers door, get it running and see if it will get you 500 miles home.......get well soon!
Look after yourself Ian, you only have one shot at life so take it easy. You got a good wee family and they can take over for a bit till you rest up. I'm cooped up at home, been a prison Officer over here in Australia for a good few years now, I ended up taking time off due to mental stress, I'm still off but now realise the prison life.just ain't worth it, so now I may try summit different , maybe even work on my RUclips channel. Anyhoo, put your feet up mate and rest. Cheers
Physical health is something that makes creating content difficult, back when I did my Rotten Shed channel, I had to deal with my back crapping out on me a few times, so I'd go for weeks or even months of nothing because I couldn't move or stay upright to do anything, which in general is a very depressing situation to be in for every day tasks, but when it's for something you need to get done and you can't it's quite demoralising... :(
Aside from merchandise, how can we help? If we watch old tinkering videos again? Revisit foxanne, twc, Betty goes global? Its all great stuff, could be rewatched like any old series. If you could explain that side of things and whether rewatching old content would help you out even a little bit, happy to help however I can. I do 30 mins on the cross trainer in the morning, I could watch some stuff then and forget the pain 😂
Maybe look through your old videos and make some yearly "highlight reels" that you can publish when you're ill or busy? I'm sure that many newer followers would be interested in seeing bits of stuff that you occasionally mention in passing.
Welp, I am bored out of my gourd and with nothing to do on that weekend, and my sister lives in Rotterdam so might hop on the ferry on friday morning and spend the weekend in the NL and pop by EMWallhala while there.
Get well soon! I usually suggest "More Water in your Whisky", but as that doesn't apply - Might I suggest lots of Custard! 👍 Oh! Random rubbish ebay spot of the week A Renault 11 GTL that hasn't been M.O.T'd since 2012, if you haven't spent Giselle already. 😀 Joking. Joking.
Get well soon, Ian. Reduce your core workload by shedding (as in get rid of) at least two of your high maintenance vehicles. This will allow you to get out more and do a variety of interesting things. Some tinkering is ok, but its threatening to overwhelm you and is not really worthy of your considerable talents! And some of the essential tinkering is left to garages, which is expensive. Seriously, time to refocus. And stop buying shit boxes on a whim! Evolve or die! Me. Been there. Evolved. Still here and enjoying life more.
It's a real pain in the backside being so strapped to your work. Maybe line up some filler videos for such occasions? "Best of Hubnut tinkering mishaps"? I don't know. Get well soon!
Get well soon Ian. Do as little as possible (I know that is difficult) and try to stay warm. My wife and I always take two vitamin C and two zinc tabs every day. Have not had a bad cold for about three years now. Neither of us got Convid either, we only had the two jabs and one booster. Some vitamin D is probably a good idea too, seeing that you don’t see much sun in Wales. Take care. You loyal subscribers will stick with you
I thought I'd got the flu last Wednesday but it turns out it's covid. Pos test on Saturday. it's persisting but I'm isolating or masked up. Will test again in a couple of days but meanwhile will carry on sniffing and coughing. I hope your ills run their course quickly and safely. Keep hydrated and rest when you can. Unless it's something specific, anti biotics rarely work and it's just about time and being patient (sic). GWS. Have you done a covid test?
@@hubnotes Thanks but unless you have tested negative don't rule it out. I had it the first time back in September '22, in hospital (!), and had no symptoms. Symptoms can be nil to ferocious and very variable so if you haven't done a test please do one. It can be reassuring to know what you are suffering with! Meanwhile I hope things are getting better. I'm showing some improvement and will retest tomorrow.
What you said about income, it has always concerned me that people give up day jobs to become full time RUclipsrs. It is, I'm sure, fun and a great way to live, but is also very precarious income wise. If you become ill, at least in employment you would receive sick pay, and as YT is owned by Google who are known to be quite greedy, what you earn could be severely impacted if they ever decide to 'tighten things up'! Hope you get well soon!
I found warm to hot water good as it does not cool your core body temperature down and then your bidy has to work hatder getting back to where it needs to be. Honey and Lemon helps. Manuka Honey even better if you can find it outside New Zealand and Australia.
If you are ill, you are allowed to repost older videos. I vote for some of the antipodes junkyards. Viewing numbers might suffer a bit, but they certainly won't be zero.

Its all that excitement driving the Daihatsu Tanto 😆. Take it easy, and get well soon 👍.
All the very best, and hoping you get well soon!! Take care and thank you for your continued hard work.
The joys of self-employment. No work, no pay. Been there so many times. Be well Ian.
Not unless you take out (expensive) insurance - I haven't and worry all the time should I fall ill.
Get well soon Mr Hubnut. I'm looking forward to more tinkering videos.
Sending best wishes, hope you're feeling better soon. In the meantime there's plenty of videos I need to catch up on
Get well soon Ian! Hoping to see you at EMWalhalla and shake hands.
Get well soon, Ian. As a self employed slave, I know what you mean about not being able to just take it easy for a few days.
Hope you feel better VERY soon, and have a great time in the Netherlands!
Hand over to Ms Hubnut for a while or sit at home and push out some edited compilation videos. Your top ten road tests, worst cars you've ever driven etc.
That's a really good idea !
I agree

Can only echo the good wishes for a speedy recovery. No fun being ill. You haven't had a lot of luck, health-wise. Hope that changes quicksticks.
Get well soon Ian.

Healing vibes sent.
Lurgy seems to be lingering, this year. Get well soon, Ian.
We know the feeling. I'm now referring to the kids collectively as 'The disease feedback loop' 🙄
Ift it's any consolation --- heck no it will not be so I will leave it unsaid. Just get well soon.
Hoping you feel better soon.

Hope you feel better soon, Ian. All the best, Mark.
Hi, I hope you get well soon, always enjoy your videos. Could Miss Hubnut do more videos? All the best.

Thinking of you, hope you get better soon. But your health is more important than anything else, so take it easy.
Get well soon Ian, its like any self employment you have to plough through, still a top video .
Hope you feel better soon!!

Get well soon Ian. Then I'll see you at EMW, the plan is to go with my Reliant Kitten Estate, if that doesn't work, the Transit can come along.
I know you don't drink but have a couple of snorts of rum and keep warm mate. Aussie Graham.
Had covid last week, so my gearbox repairs on #myvolvo were postponed! Get well soon. 😊
Ugh. Hope you're on the mend.
@@hubnotes yes, ta, thankfully.
You sound as bad as I feel. Wishing you better Ian.
The lurgy seems to be migrating north. A couple of other RUclipsr from Devon had it last week. Get well soon from Australia.
