Hi, it's a after start system. You're meant to start it from cold with choke out and kick start. After 10 minutes, you can use the starter all day. The battery has massive cranking amps on that, and you will snap the starter bendex system if you start it from cold.
18,000 miles on a 2012 GasGas EC300 never an issue, and we haven't had any issues with this. Let's face it renters are not going to kick start a bike either. I actually don't know anyone that kicks their bikes if they have that option even. Cold start and call it a day.

@@Meekerextreme dealer recommended using kick start when you first start it up after a while when my dad first got his, but up to you of course
