Don't Take Consumer Reports' Advice for Best Subaru Oil Recommendation

What is the best oil for your newer Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, or other model? Don't take Consumer Reports' advice if you want your engine to last the longest.
In my experience of working with every car manufacturer and different types of oil testing, I found that 90 percent of drivers are operating their vehicles under severe usage. Very few people drive under ideal conditions all the time.
If you want your Subaru vehicle to last the longest, you should use 0W-20 Synthetic oil.

I drive a lot mostly Highway.
Change oil at 6,000, sometimes 6500 miles.
I use Castrol full synthetic 0 - 20.
Change oil about 6 times a year.
Sometimes I just not able to do at 6K, due to traveling.
I get home, and change my oil myself.

Use 5w30 oil at less than 5,000 miles per oil change interval for better protection and engine longevity.

For the Subaru with mostly highway driving 5000 miles and for mixed 3000 miles using mobile 1 ow 20 . Changing fluids belt and hose a little before the manufacturer s recommended service will lessen your chance of a major repair and having a long lasting car.

Previously, when i using 0W20 or 5W30 in Singapore, my 2017 Impreza engine seem to have chattering issue in the morning. After switcing to 5W40 oil, this issue is gone.

Consumer report says Subaru mini and BMW are on most reliabke list this list making everything they say unreliable
