Here are a couple new layered cross designs. This is John 3:16 and it compliments the other cross designs on my website. This is a very easy design to make. It takes very little material and the finished product sells for nearly $30.00. This is a great money making design. An it makes an excellent gift as well.

Steve, how about makng the hanger piece a bit wider, so that it bridges pver the cross cut out, then you won't need to build it up on a piece...glued on 3 sides. can use the little strip to build out the bottom, maybe one on each side cross tip, to let it hang flat, and illussion of thickness, or make them smaller and hide it behind as a standoff
Great suggestions. Like I say, there are many ways to do things. This was my first design that created the pocket on the rear. The idea of bridging the gap never entered my mind. I will be doing that on future like designs. Great suggestion.

Hi Steve, I purchased the file on your website a while ago. I loved it. It was so easy to cut and assemble. Thanks for all that you teach. I am curious how do you edit the file to score only the attached text? I have been cracking my brain on how to accomplish it. I appreciate your time and effort.
It is a process. It requires positioning all the text without welding the text. Creating overlapping letters side-to-side and top and bottom. Once the desired position is achieved, make duplicates. Select one of the duplicates and turn on welded text. This will weld the individual words. Then, you will need to use the Boolean tools to weld the words together. Now you have the base for the design. Now, use duplicates and the Boolean tools to create the desired lines. The lines go on a cut layer in line mode to engrave them. The base goes on a cut layer. It's a little work. The toughest is orienting the words. Varying font size and height of different words.

Doesn't matter about the camera we get the idea things happen you do beautiful work and when I get the time to set up my laser and make a couple small projects I'm going to purchase all your crosses.
I think they will make great Easter and Christmas gifts.
