Beautiful work. Keeping God alive and spreading his word one video at a time. God has blessed you with your wood working talents. God bless you and your family.
Love to hear it when Christ is testified to. Giving honor where honor is due. The projects are great reminders that freedom can only come through sacrifice. Thanks Matt.
I absolutely love the way you throw those little comments about Jesus in there. I love how you use your platform to spread the word of Jesus!! God bless you and your family.
Awesome...it’s amazing what can be done with a piece/s of wood. Like God with us... let him do his work and it’s amazing what can happen... God is good.
I love, love, love the crosses!!! Beautiful work Matt. 1 other safety tip (at about 5:55) while using the mitre saw hold the piece with your right hand and work the saw with your left. It only takes a second of lost focus to cut your forearm. Keep making sawdust!!
Better safety hold down for cutting small pieces on the miter saw is the $10,000,000 hold down stick from FastCap.Cost you less than $20 and you will wonder how you ever got along without it before. And $20 vs screwing up your fingers or hand is really cheap safety. Also use a sacrificial piece of wood to extend the back fence so that you don't have so much of a small cutoff hanging over after it gets cut helps as well. I am impressed with both of your crosses and especially how you are making yours unique with the inset coins. Very slick.
Truly a couple awesome projects they turned out great. I like that you give praise to God and that you are just a real person which makes watching your videos that much more enjoyable
Thank you for pointing out how quick a saw can take a finger. I lost a chunk off my left index finger trying to cut a small piece of quarter round. Now my finger points to the left. Took me two years to retrain myself to play the guitar and my wife makes fun of my finger LOL. Keep the faith brother. Great work there.
I saw some of these similar on another utube video yesterday. I thought "I wonder how long before Matt and Amy gets on that and puts their own spin on it"! Here we are! So very nice! I'll give it a try someday soon. They are just beautiful. As always, great job. Thanks!
I love the work you are doing! I have been watching your videos for a while now and I am working on my own woodworking business. Thank you for honouring God! I would love to come see you someday when I travel.
Dang!! If I ever start doing RUclips videos I hope they are at least half as entertaining and informative as yours!! So proud of you guys!!! Another awesome video!! Thank you!!! Lloyd........
Just subscribed a few days back and glad I came across this video, I started on an American flag cross on Monday. Watching this helped, it is also awesome that you share your faith openly!
Well there you go again! Building something and making it look so easy that I think, “Hey! I could do THAT!” Thanks for the encouragement, Matt! Crosses look amazing!
awesome, going to make the american flag one and turn it into a blue line cross, have couple of nephews that are police adn their dad just retired, will make a awesome gift. thank you thank you Matt. i have learned so much. especially pocket holes. just made a nice small table for one of our rooms using pocket holds came out great. not bad for a newbie.
Very appropriate shirt for the situation. You caused yourself some PAIN and GAINed some knowledge of what not to do. Thankfully it wasn't a serious injury. Those crosses look awesome! Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge with the rest of us.
Hey, Matt. Love those crosses. You should have made that blade into a clock or paint a mural on it. Inset it in a round slab and hang it in your shop. Love your work and watching your progress as a woodworker. Keep the faith and remain safe.
Amazing work. They look Fantastic! That John 3:16 cross is great. I love the colors in that hardwood. Perfect choices. The half-lap joint looks great too. Another great video.
I love how big of a part Christ is of your channel man, you always have the shirts on and you talk about your faith. It's so encouraging and i hope through it people may become curious enough to seek Christ themselves!
Clamps: I really appreciate how you show your support to police officers, but mostly how you give glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have a challenge coin to commemorate my time in the Marine Corps and didn't know what to do with it other than keep it in my pocket. Now I know what to do with it! Thanks so much, brother. -Rick, USMC
Love the cross is Matt you do good work On a note about your thumb check out Fast Cap may be just one word and look for the $10,000 finger to keep your fingers away from that stuff when they happens God bless
Great video! Speaking of gluing the coins in - I've used CA, two-part epoxy and urethane glues when making pens. I usually use the urethane glue. It has a long open time, but it foams up like dropping a Mentos in a Diet Coke and would be too messy for what you’re doing. CA sets fast, but it is ‘brittle’. I found that a sharp can break the the joint & pop the coin out. Two-part epoxies require measuring the components and then mixing them together. It has a good open time, doesn’t foam up and isn’t brittle but can take a while to dry. I think the coin would be held in more securely. I to wanted to assemble a cross before I went to work but couldn’t weight…lol
That was an awesome video the cross is really really great you’re back to your old stuff again it really looks good you really came through again really good looks great can’t say enough good stuff about it I’ll go Outlaw nation
God bless brother 🙏 Job well done and really creative stuff. Thanks for sharing 👍 fellow cross maker. Blessed to have run across your channel. Keep pushin on ✝️
I have cut short pieces like that on my miter saw before and what I always use is my push stick from my table saw that way my hand is completely away from everything and you can actually hold some good pressure on it
Thanks for the video! I love the crosses! Occasionally I find myself in front of the bathroom mirror muttering to myself "and you really thought that was a good idea"
We gotta learn from our mistakes, but every now and then we get cocky and make dumb mistakes all over again just to remind us that we still need Jesus! There's a whole sermon in this video! I love your testimony: "I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ..."
This was an exceptional project and video, Matt. I am one of those fans who loves your project videos and this is one of my all time favorites. I wish that I could purchase one of those variety packs and build a cross just like this one, but then not only would I have spent $200.00 on the wood, but I would have to also come up with a bunch of cash for the divorce lawyer. I'll have rack my brain for a way to build a less expensive clone. Thanks for this outstanding video. You are the best.
