Following a ghost who is faster than you is absolutely a fantastic way to improve your times. That's how I would leaderboard chase on Forza to be able to get top 10's or better. Being able to see what someone is doing better than you and learning from it is ideal for improvement.

Eh, in my view it's already incredible this is a game where it is actually POSSIBLE to join a random lobby and race without there being constant barging, divebombing and putting people in the wall. Been gaming since the 1980s and this is the first racing game I've experienced where it is actually playable in multiplayer (that includes the arcade cabinets...people raced dirty even when the could actually be punched in the face for it 🤣). To be honest I still don't understand how they achieved it...ok, the "safety rating" and penalties, but usually there are always people able to quite literally "drive around" these. I wish other racing game makers would implement something similar (cough * Codemasters * cough...)

Still a lot of players just using the car in front as “extra braking” into corners.
That's how the best players do it!
It requires a lot of discipline and hard work to master.
I will admit I accidentally did it to a guy. It’s difficult at Barcelona because I feel some people brake really early and some brake a bit late.

You are absolutely correct about qualifying laps helping you learn the track. That's how I learned them, and that's the key, learning the tracks, I think that's even more important than learning the car that you're in.
I think the longer Steve puts his time in smooth laps, the more starts to fumble his words...
Haahaa... But I love it still... Shows that he's so absorbed in the drama that he can't form cohesive sentences...

You should give the cycled production beta on FMS7 a shot. Some of the drivers are really good and the racing has gotten a lot cleaner since they took it off marketplace.

That commercial was too well timed to be a coincidence. Right as Super GT highlighted finishing 6th in the first race, that Vrbo commercial came up with Kermit singing “I’m right where I belong!!”

This game is so good. To think that it has the real driving experience and the graphics on top. you can get lost in the graphics being so clear while you are focused on the racing.
I haven't been doing much online racing, but the group 3 at Watkins Glen and group 4 at Interlagos were pretty fun, even in my mediocre ranked lobbies!

As long as the ghost is offset by a couple of tenths it is very useful. In fact so useful that it is important to remember also to practice without a ghost after setting a good quali lap 😃
Yeah, both very good points. The ghost is good to achieve the better laptime but as you say, it's also worth practicing without it too.

Hey honest question I've been starting to race in gt7 and I run no assist is that good or bad or any advice on getting better with racing online and ps love your video keep up the amazing videos
That was - an expirience to watch. I am new to sim racers or racing in general. My excitement though does come party from my purchse of a steering wheel so you can not take all the credit for the provided entertainment.

Absolutely. The daily races were fairly dull for a while but they're getting better now for sure and it's easier to record when it's fun.

Yes it is a thing, strongest in high aero cars like Gr3, Gr2/1
Yeah it's definitely a thing. It only has a minot effect in Gr.3 cars but it's very noticeable in high downforce cars like Gr.1 and Super Formula.
Quite like the M6 tbh - if PD ever fix the BoP it'll be nice to use it more often

start by mounting your wheel on a cheap table or buy a wheelstand pro for 100 bucks
