I don't understand why that watch disappeared. The watch that MacGyver wore in the TV series was a green Timex Camper which was smaller than this watch. I wore one for a few years, it was probably a 35mm watch and was good but the buckle left a lot to be desired. I have been wearing Timex Camper watches for at least a decade and they are very close to his watch, but much more comfortable.
I'm getting extremely annoyed at the non availability of almost EVERY timex I end up liking. Can they not follow Casio's lead and produce enough units to keep up with demand? Especially since they make (mostly) affordable watches? I don't get it.
A bit hard to come by, I have been tempted to pay some of the over priced Timex's on ebay, but if I did that knowing my luck there would be a new release. I will be patient and just wait for their production & sales team to decide to do another factory run which will eventually happen.
I've had mine for 2 or 3 years, love it, but my indigo bulb/LED burned out and couldn't find any info anywhere how to fix, so it's a day time only watch
Looks like you should have bought a few hundred of these at the time. Then you would be in the Rolex Submariner ballpark. I enjoyed your unique and interesting video. Thanks.
I just love Aluminum, and need a daily field watch. Casio, and Citizen Group fan, but I gotta have a low key MK1. I’m sure the aluminum will hold up for a daily work watch.
The thing I don't understand is that one of the probably best-known Timex watches is not even listed on the official website. Imagine the panic if Rolex would remove the Submariner or Omega would remove the Speedmaster Professional COMPLETELY from their website.
Im sure timex will reissue this model again no way am i paying the scalper prices they want on ebay etc ...Sad as it is the expedition scout has better features...its the dome acrylic that sets this apart for me hence why id love grab one as in this exact model...Do like the campers but 36mm MK1s.... too small in my honest opinion...

I have the aluminum white dial, and the stainless steel one on bracelet. My absolute favorite model of watch for daily wear

Can't find this watch anywhere except on ebay, for almost 200€ coming from Japan. Where else can I buy this?
I saw some around $40 on eBay, Ashford, Jomashop

Hey, if it worked for MacGyver…
Where can I buy it ???
I was wondering why this watch is now $70. I think I got mine for about $40.
Did timex place any jewels in that watch? The $10 Marlon never had jewels. Even tho they could take a licking and keep on ticking.

good point
I own one of these. With a cache of NATO straps, it absolutely rocks.
Nice watch
