I love _The Puppet Show_ : all the snarky jokes about acting that the writers make the actors say. How the Scoobies are terrified of being in the Talent show (which is where many actors get their start). Willow: "A dramatic scene is the easiest way to get through the talent show, because it doesn't require an actual talent" (!!!) And the literal fourth wall break when the curtain is opened on the emotional climax of the story. And the hilarious credits scene.
Nightmares was one of the better written episodes of BTVS in S1. The interesting concept here of everyone's nightmares coming true in reality, also the the spectre of child exploitation here with the demon used as the metaphor, even though we see the coach as the real villain causing the distress to Billy Palmer. This episode is definitely a step up for show in S1 and really shows where the series can go.
@@Mia_D.Davies Yes this episode is actually very important going forward as it shows how the series can delve into the psyche of each character, and all the pressures and anxieties that humans have to contend with. Great to see you enjoying it so much, and it only gets better.
Best thing about The Puppet Show episode is our introduction to Snyder, one of the great characters in the show who has really got it in for the Scoobies straight off. Again S1 is hard going for newbies to the show, as many of the storylines are fairly weak, love the fact that you really enjoy these early episodes. You really seem to be loving this show as the Series progresses, and believe me from mid Season 2 onwards it improves leaps and bounds.
I love his nickname, the Fuerer lol!! Yes, the puppet show is definitely one of my favourites of the series, and I’m really looking forward to my dive into season two x
There’s some really good episodes in this. I’m gonna be doing an episode ranking once I finish the season. Yeah, same the only doll like thing I’ve know of is Chucky, which is some thing I might dive into in the future as I think theres a few of those films x
I'm with Xander - Vampire Buffy was hot! I need help... A friend of mine was dealing with his mother's estate, and she was a big collector of things, including dolls of all kinds. He gave me her Vampire Buffy action figure doll, still in the original packaging. 😊
@Mia_D.Davies I don't think it will let me put a pic in the comments...but I can give it a try! Away from home at the moment, will give it a shot later.
@@Mia_D.Davies yeah, YT doesn't allow image insertion in comments. However, I found and followed you on Insta, which allowed me to message you there, and I posted a pic of the action figure for you. Enjoy! Trigger warning - one of the "accessories" is an opened book with three spiders crawling on it...
The big brands for American chocolate aren't that amazing (I'd guess Cadbury are slightly better), but there's a ton of fancy boutique chocolate companies that produce chocolates to rival any in the world, so there's that. 🙂 If I want a big brand chocolate, I usually just get a Hershey bar - that might be considered the bog-standard American chocolate, but it's okay. Lately, though, there are some companies that are much better for mass-marketed ones, like Tony's Chocolonely.
@@tbessie I love chocolate I little to much, it definitely is an addiction of mine 🙄, I’ve not tried a Tony’s yet, I’ll have to keep an eye out for it x
Can we appreciate how in almost every Snyder scene they arrange to have the light behind him, shining through his protruding ears?

Again, another episode I really enjoyed such a cool idea. I’ve never seen anything like it before x
And Cordelia’s nightmares we’re the highlights x

I loved 1x10. My favorite of S1, and to date, I cannot recall a non-evil story of a come-to-life doll before 1x09 aired, and rarely since, if ever.

Sorry that episode 10 was a bit traumatic for you - and yeah, laying that burden of knowledge on a child is just cruel. Hugs... 🫂
The joys of having a rocky childhood 😅x
