The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

This will be another "go to" Sly tune conquer the blues-outrageous energy and funk! The positive vibe of this legendary band always makes me smile. One had to see THE BAND LIVE or one might not comprehend why all the praise even decades later. THE BAND's performance practice is rooted in Pentecostal church music. The congregation often stood and sung in appreciation of a well executed performance. PRAISE GOD.
I bet no other performer penetrated the barrier between stage and audience at the revered Ed Sullivan Show. SLY did so twice with varying success. WOODSTOCK attendees caught the groove.
Love the CHUCK BERRY duck walk homage by FREDDIE STONE and LARRY GRAHAM, DRAKE's paternal uncle.

It's interesting how the Rolling Stones had to let's spend some time together instead of a spend the night together Jim Morrison couldn't say girl we couldn't get much higher. Got respect Sly Stone I think it's like 1968 not much difference when the stones around the same time Morrison plus Sly Stone just looks like he's hi, im sure he was. It's not like it was unusual, backed then it eas just the to do. I love Sly Stone. Wow I almost said Sly Stallone. Another great one in my book. 2 legends with almost the same name amazing. 👏 sometimes this Journey gets strange. I just try not to take this life too serious. Ive noticed since I've been doing that and living in the moment, I feel I have more piece of my mind and less anxiety, Forks there's is only one race ,the best race the only true race that means anything if you're not in this race I feel sorry. It's called The Human Race that I'm apart and you're apart of if you're human. Deep inside we all are. We all have the ability to be very good or very bad. It's the person not the people. Another race that don't want to be apart of The Rat Race. Try it for a while but got out of it without too much damage in other words I didn't get tainted and bitter. My morals and values came back from when times were simpler people seem happier. Anyways sorry folks brought me down that rabbit hole. I guess I'm just reminiscing but I was listening to Sly and the Family Stones. Best funk band ever. Not sure if it's funk but Family Stone, as well as the Ohio Players ,Chaka Khan. I just like good music . And im a white boy for those keepinf count😆 anyway sorry for the rant. Anyway ,peace out🤜💥🤛
