Ahhhhh! Wonderful! I have a question: Why did he choose the pike characin (Acestrorhynchus microlepis ) for the cover? Out of all the trips he took, and all the fish he photographed, this one must have left quite an impression to make the cover!

You should the video anton petrov smartest fish on earth mormyridae video he is brainy like you I think I will order the book great videos they help us survive lockdown
What is funny is If you watch my "fish news" segment from a month before his video, and "new archaeology reveals Ancient Egyptians kept fish, 2,500 years prior to koi" ...both are about mormyrids and I talk about the same study he was talking about... of course he edited the video a million times better than I did /could have lol

Do you think it'd be possible to breed Celestial Pearl Danios with Fire Ring Danios?
I doubt it, the goldring danios (tinwini) and the Emerald dwarf rasboras (erythromicrons) both make great choices though. The problem with Kythit danios aka fire rings, is they get 2x as big as cpds and are almost totally a top water loving fish when they are the biggest fish around...and that is where the cpd fry will go, along with the glass walls.
Either way, just plant a ton of plants and you can make almost any combo work in theory.
@@FishtoryThanks Alex. I figured it'd be really unlikely but I just thought the potential coloration would be so cool. Perhaps I'll try some candles and mood music and see if I can get lucky, but I won't hold my breath.

Sadly , Ivan is the only person in the world with true wild orange line guppies....they went extinct by 06/07 in the wild
