You can't love 2 people equally, but equality is often overrated. No parents can love each of their children equally, but that doesn't mean parents should not give birth to more than one child. No man can live two women equally but that isn't a case against polygamy. What you can do is to ensure that you treat them fairly and make sure you don't have a clear favourite like in the care of Isaac & Rebecca or Jacob & his 2 wives.
I don't think you can have two objects and value them the same, you might say the both are your favourite, but you'll often consciously or unconsciously prefer one of them to the other in a lot of scenarios or circumstances
