No. A former military town and its barracks were transformed into an apartment building and that’s where everybody in Whittier lives. As far as hobbies go: Binoculars come in handy to observe your neighbors - who’s going to the local pub, who’s kissing on the corner. Hey, winters are long and cold. You gotta pass the time somehow. It’s not that exciting in Whittier. No WiFi refrigerators either. In the summer, the town does perk up with tourists. White nights and a bit more action. France 🇫🇷 Île de Noirmoutier Off the west coast there’s this road connecting the mainland with Île de Noirmoutier. And depending on the tides, you can drive across it. Or not. There are rescue towers along the way you can climb up - just Incase you’ve overlooked the 500 odd signs in three languages flashing information and warnings when the tides comes in. But as it happens, some people are too stupid to read or climb and get caught unawares by the incoming ocean. Swept away. And that movie sucked. Switzerland 🇨🇭 Scattered throughout the tiny Alpine land are faux buildings or trompe l’oeil facades. Kind of like a film set. There’s more to all this than fools the eye. I lived in central Switzerland for many years in the 80's/90's next to a hollowed mountain that housed many Mirage fighter jets. During training exercises massive sliding doors would open and they would taxi out and use local roads to take off. Quite an amazing sight at night with their afterburner takeoffs.....
@@monroekenya9741 They used major highways for taking off and yes it was sometimes very noisy as they taxied just a hundred metres away to cross over a minor road to get to their goal. Small bursts on the throttle is used to taxi so the noise was bearable and takeoff was a good way off so all was good.....

A Swiss man considers his country to be a warlike nation because it is (possibly excessively in his perspective) ready to defend itself. If we disregard 2003-2008 when the Swiss got involved with a bad crowd (even then they resisted involvement for 2 yrs and abandoned the illegal war 13yrs before its end), their last war was WW2, and the previous was 1847! In my opinion there are quite a few warlike nations, but Switzerland is most certainly not one of them. That aside, let us listen and actually hear this man's opinion, let us try to understand his point of view. From his perspective how would we view ourselves? Are we capable of self reflection any more? I have lived in the building in Whittier Alaska when I was in my early 20's to work for Great Pacific Seafood. It was a hell of a summer job but it made me 80K in 5 months!
@@mumauva7432 there are still summer jobs in Alaska for working in the fishing industry. you used to have to get the info through the mail, pre, internet. Im sure its all online now. Just google Alaska summer fishing industry jobs and see what comes up!
Then you can rest all winter and just enjoy life with that kind of money and return next summer. I would give up my incredibly boring city life for that especially if I could get a friend to come with me. Why didn't you continue there for a much longer time?
Would have been nice if you had explained exactly what Whittier is and does....... Whittier is a major port for Alaska and has one of the deepest harbours in the world so they dock any kind of ship to keep Alaskans supplied as well as the US military to ship supplies to their bases around Alaska.

And that’s what youre worried about... happened in the wash process, where any pathogen is likely diluted or washed away. I’m more worried about the ground and boots on the raw product going in... And finaly it is roasted. The post wash process is where the PPE is used...

I have questions about the content of the video. 1. Can people eat this many algae-like breads. Is this one be HYGIENE. I am a bit confused to see and I understood the cleanliness and careless people. 2. Excellent video. If a person is affected by any disease the whole building needs to take precautions. 3.France is one of the developed countries. Why they can't make a single long bridge of 5 km. what is the cause of tides to the shore? 4. I am surprised to see these many canons in a small house. That makes sense. 5.
