There's not point getting all worked up if you don't catch just enjoy it for what it is time on the bank
Totally agree Stephen i commented on this before on another comment and i said this ... The pressure on the tackle and bait companies to almost tell you, you will catch a fish every time with either this bait or that tackle really distracts from the initial point of being their in the first place which is to enjoy yourself and the art of fishing....... A lot of that comes from companies not being 100% straight with the general public. many companies take months to make an episode of a carp session with pre baiting and lake owners giving them permission to do what they want when the general public cant! which means the video ends with multiple fish on camera giving the false illusion of day ticket fishing. I try not to over edit videos as i like the rough and ready approach to videos (make it more real in my eyes) but inevitably you have to cut content out these and professional chaps can cut it perfectly making it look so easy and less cumbersome again giving false impressions "The camera lies all the time" Its a shame folk forget or don't realize they (We) are getting duped most of the time as we are part of a multi million pound cash cow. don't get me wrong quality gear is quality gear and most of the time worth paying for, its just how these companies can give folk an unreal real world illusion of how it really is. Fortunately though Stephen there are folk like you and me and when we go fishing or do what we do we can sit back relax and enjoy the moment, The fish are a bonus the rest of the time it is good for the mind. 100% agree Maff, I fish to be outdoors and away from everything else. If it was all about catching, then I'd cast into my pond in the back garden and save the trip up the motorway. Get well soon mate!
Hello Terrance worst cough me and the missus have ever had and I really mean that, what a bleeding nightmare. as for the fishing... of course, if you don't work for it you don't feel like you've earned it. 👍👍
Ducks swans and coots soon realise that those boats contain free food and they were also following the boat out as well. As for the free bait boat cleaning service. They were very good at it. There were two families of coots left and right of the swim and they were fighting each other all the time for any scraps of food the fell out of the boat or I dropped. Normally not a problem but at 430 in the morning at first light they were a proper pain in the butt.lol👍
That swan would not leave me alone, If i had fed it up you would understand, but what i think is going on here is the chap who fished this peg before me, probably also blanked and fed the swan so he had something to do all day LOL 🤣🤣
What reels do you have? I'm always fishing Bolt fashion style like you are using. I use the fox ones, have done for years. Never dump a lead saving money and lead kicks out the way when you get a fish win-win.

Just had a guy telling me he knew i was going to blank when i used a spod for sloppy spod mix instead of my bait boat. Bless his little cotton socks i guess he hasn't enough experience to know there is a gap in the bait hopper and all the sloppy spod mix would leak out before we got to the bait LOL....
Hello Clive The rods are 13ft fox horizon six fully shrink wrap 3.75 TC and the reels are Fox 12000XC, They are not cheap but i saved up for them and did a crap load of overtime. the good news is i think they are awesome and the reels knock the spots off my last ones, my older rods although in great condition i could not cast to the distances i wanted to so i wanted (not needed) an upgrade and these fell into my hand like they grew there. I'm really pleased with them ...worth the extra time at work and overtime. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. kind regards Matt
You didn’t blank Maff, you just run out of time, life is one continuous fishing session, sometimes a fish makes an appearance sometimes they don’t, just being by a lake is enough, a fish is a bonus and remember to smell the Hops along the way. Cheers 🥃🍺

Bless his little cotton socks i guess he hasn't enough experience to know there is a gap in the bait hopper and all the sloppy spod mix would leak out before we got to the bait LOL....
What rods a reels? did you buy great watch again 👍
@@MaffTUK thank you for the info Matt 👌🎣
Hey buddy im just about to watch mate 👍
You didn’t blank Maff, you just run out of time, life is one continuous fishing session, sometimes a fish makes an appearance sometimes they don’t, just being by a lake is enough, a fish is a bonus and remember to smell the Hops along the way. Cheers 🥃🍺
YES YES YES that is soooo true Steve " I just Ran Out Of Time " Love your outlook and perception of it all, could not agree more. including the hops Steve. Regards Matt👍
Exactly 😅🍺… enjoy your fishing mate and look forward to the next blog. All the best
You done everything you could to get one out apart from throwing a net out 😂. Great watch though.
Oh Bollocks the net.......I forgot the net method ... LOL🤣 Thank you last cast for your comment your sense of humour is akin to mine. Kind regards Matt👍👍
Remind me not to copy your bloody lottery numbers in future our Matt...As for blanking, who gives a toss ? This is why the sport's called "fishing" and not "catching", it's all about the enjoyment and the time to reflect and recharge the mental batteries. As always, great video from a lovely locale.
Here he is LOL.... 🙌 .. seriously Sam I chilled out so much over the three days when i jumped in the car and eventually got onto the motorway without even being aware I was cruising at 60mph but unfortunately it didn't last long, reality kicked in again and back up to speed i went....... yep fishing is the key word here not catching. how are you my friend, I hope all is good for you. Maff 👍👍👌
@@MaffTUK All good at the moment, lost my old dad in February, the man who taught my brother and I to fish, he got to 90, so not a bad innings for us unhealthy Scots, I'm not quite in a wheelchair yet but I'm not as fit as I used to be (the missus still thinks I'm pretty fit (for an old guy) though) LOL she's deluding herself. Good to see you still enjoying the solo trips, but we are missing Dave the Rave(ing loony) quite a bit, camping season soon too, so I'm looking forward to seeing some hammock camps and right good laughs.
Love as always mate...Tight lines.(and loose hammock straps)
Cracking viewing MAFF
Thank you Keith, much appreciated, regards Matt
That sloppy spod mix looked remarkably like your Chicken Tikka Masala !!
@@davebowden1399 bugger.....the secret is out.... lol 😆
😃
A smile is a good thing so thank you for that, regards Matt 😁
great video it calls fishing not catching
See.... that's the type of attitude I can live with it is indeed called fishing....thank you regards Matt👍👍😁😁
You look more like your brother all the time
Hello Simon you are correct i do indeed, I only wish i could master his amazing sense of humour i know ive got one but it will never be as good as my Bro's. Its mad isnt it although we did talk. we didnt talk as much as i want to now, all too late.
@@MaffTUK he had one of those! I did quite a bit of fishing with him and Chris, his sense of humour definitely passed the time if bites were slow😂
Definetely cheating, no skill involved what so ever.
Well to be fair I did open the book for folk to comment about it and you have, thank you for your comment regards Matt
Angler's and danglers, all the gear no idea and wtf are you spoding when you have a bait boat 🙈and I new you were going to blank straight away
Hello there the trouble with a sloppy spod mix is if you put it in a bait boat its all gone by the time it gets to your bait and you have a nice cloudy trail all the way to your zig.... BUT you would know that wouldn't you so im suprised you asked to be honest. I wish you were there with me perhaps you could have put me right. but thanks for your positive comment
