That’s sounds amazing, now that I know that it works well on the Skottle I will definitely take your advice and do that on the next one…thanks for watching!!!
I have the ARB touring awning and screen room as well on my offroad trailer. One thing I did to bolster the center section for rain runoff is to order an additional pole and bits to change out one end to match the pin style end. I then drilled the approriate sized hole in both of the horizontal extruded aluminum pieces that house the other poles and have the coping track slots. I put these holes dead center, and once the awning is deployed, I can easily just slip this extra pole into these holes and push the center section of the awning taught parallel to the outer poles. This center pole keeps the awning center section less prone to collecting and pooling rain. When I put up my screen room solo, I clip on one of those gator grip things that are used on tarps for tying down loads to one end of the screen room up near the coping. Then I start that side into the coping track slot until my arms are nearly maxed for push/pull effect. At this point I slip the tip of the extra pole into this gator grip and use the pole to push the screen room away from me, while I am feeding the coping into the track so it doesn't snag. Works like a champ! Once that end of the screen room is in the coping track, I then install that pole into it's center home in the awning. The rest of the screen room can then be setup. In addition to the pole upgrade, I made four 7lb sand bags that I toss into the corners of the screen room to keep the corners happily in place during breezy moments. Instead of using stakes, I made two flat 30lb footings out of steel and lead, with a short center tube to drop my awning legs into. I then tie the awning straight down to these weights. There is no way these weights are going going to lift in the wind before something else fails on the awning. The really shine when setting up on hard pack soil, concrete/asphalt type parking/camping areas. And I also dash some italian seasoning, S&P, and more garlic powder on the built pizza before baking.
Wow..those are some awesome ideas, right now I just use a Green Elephant pole in the middle of the room to raise up the center when I am expecting rain. I will have to explore your ideas further and I really like the idea of the weights on the corners. I had to set it up in a campground on asphalt and didn’t really have a good way to hold it down. I will definitely try your pizza additions now that I know I can do them in camp. Thanks for watching!!
I just bought a Jackery 1500 with two 100 watt solar panels online from Costco for 1599. Normally that runs at $2399. Killer deal. Cant wait to try it out.
The comment about taking pizza from random guy was hilarious. If I saw you make it the way that you did then I would enjoy a slice otherwise, I couldn't. Great video and thank you for sharing!
nice video! what about a comparison of the Gazzelle Tent and the Arb camping room, the Arb CR seems a bit more exposed to high winds and it takes longer to set up? on the other hand seems more confortable even though you loose the shade it provide, I would paired with a 270 style awning? which set up do you think would work better the Arb camping room or the Gazzelle tent? Regards
Thanks for watching Francisco, I definitely plan on doing a comparison, pros and cons if you will, between the two "Tents". As far as a 270 awning goes, you cant use the ARB room with it and that was the main reason I went the awnings that I did, you can get walls for the 270 but its not the same to me. For ease of use and setup, the Gazelle wins hands down, for roominess and sheer comfort, I like the ARB better.
@@adventureroamx thanks for your prompt answer! Seems there is no perfect choice, each one works depending on the situation. I would like to try the Arb CR and on the other side of the car install a 270 awning. But you are right setting up a Gazzelle tent is fast and easy. Regards
Is the KOPALA Serbian cleaver, I love that thing, its become extremely useful for all kids of cooking tasks and now for cutting pizza..lol. With that being said, the steel on it is a reactive steel so it has to be cleaned immediately after use and you have to rub a little oil on it to keep it from rusting. Sorry if it felt like a click bait tag line that was not the intention, what happened was the the blue sunset and the non forecasted rain that drove me and everyone else out of there. Thanks for watching though and the comment I appreciate it, I will keep your comment in mind when choosing titles.
Why is 20 mins content of tires, a tent raising or cooking interesting? How is that novel or enlightening about Trona, a uniqu desert scape? I learned more in the first two mins with captures of the story boards than all the rest of the video. Whoever hasn't seen that content before, please speak up, at least you'll help this guy's algo desperations.
Hang in there brotha , I thought it was pretty good for a new channel. I’ve see channels that I thought sucked & there at 400-500 thousand subs . It’s always slow starting off & once you reach that pivot point, it’s all good . Well I always like & u earned a subscription. The crispy crust pizza sounded bomb . I love the crunch . I would talk to you for 30 seconds & know your normal, & I’d take some goodness pizza .
Hey Dave thanks for the watch and the subscription, yes that pizza was pretty good. I am trying to get better each video and always look forward to the comments!
My brother I would I would take a slice of pizza from you because you're an old-fashioned camper I love to I used to be a camp iMac a to just like you I it was an old boy scout love it very much I always loved camping camping is a favorite thing freshly what you make pizza over an open fire that's the way to do it John Chalker Waterbury Connecticut CC 🙏🙏👼👼🪔🪔🎩🎩🥾🥾🤠🤠🇺🇲🇺🇲🍕🍕
Thanks for watching John, old boy scout here as well and a lot of time camping with my Dad. Lots of good stuff still to come on the channel so stay tuned.
As for pizza toppings, I like to brush melted butter or olive oil around the crust area and dash garlic powder and grated parm along the edge.

Red Pepper Flakes! I like the pepper idea.
I will use red pepper flakes if I am feeling like I want some extra spice, I have been a black pepper on pizza fan for a long time.
That pizza would be gone in 5 minutes at Wasteland Weekend. I will try that out on my skottle.
Yes, definitely try super easy I mean you know it’s pretty basic, but boy it sure tasted good. Thanks for watching!
