Unfortunately I am the minority in watching this video. I love the microphone switches and giving myself and others a broad spectrum of what the guitar sounds like in different situations. Loved it!
I have a Squier bullet, I swap the stock p/us for two gretch-like ones from GFS, and I am really happy the way it sounds and looks. Mine has tone and volume, and the traditional 3 way switch. I had the single coil at the neck, but I didn't have to use my router to resize the pick up pocket, those Squiers are ready for modifications. My favorite guitar.
I tried one of these out about a week ago, AND LOVED IT!!! I'm normally a "Gibsiphone" type guy, who uses guitars with huge beefy necks, but I liked the feel of these. I gotta say I really like those pickups.
This is the one John Mayer played on Perfectly Lonely on Letterman. They were a limited model back then. You can see the video of him and his rhythm guitarist playing them on RUclips.
I was under the impression that both versions of the Squier Cabronita only came in black. I have the Bigsby version, with one Fidelitron pup, and also the 2 Fidelitron pup with no Bigsby. These are both made in Indonesia. I have seen a 2 pup version on ebay which was made in Mexico, also in black. These Cabronitas date from about 2013 and were only made for a fairly short period. A sort of limited edition. So, where have these 2 versions come from that you have on the video, MIM maybe?
probably the ibanez then. however, fender makes some double humbucker teles with emg's or dimarzios preloaded into them. i dont know if they're on the andertons website but i know they're on the musicians friend website. and they are the same price as the Cabronita tele
Also, I forget, but I think they had TV Jones pickups in them back in 2009. I'll have to do more research. Sucks that I'm left handed and can't play these!
I just won one of these from Pro Audio Land, damn, I didn't think it would sound half as good as it does! I won the White one too(Ash!) Can't wait until it gets here now, thanks guys!
Well they are Maple necks, and the one I have, I can live with the Maple fingerboard as well! Can't beat the sounds out of a real Fender Tele at this price, and the Ash body on my White one sounds awesome!!! Highly recommended!
Wow, that sound when Chappers hit that Wompler is a killer....have played the US one, which does have filtertron pups (TV Jones)....great sound from that too (although WAY more expensive).....hmmmm...might need to pick one of these up! Great stuff!
I think I see the new Squier Vintage Modified guitars in the intro. Are you guys going to release a review of them? Cause I'm really interested in the jazzmaster.
At 0:56 Chappers is thinking did i already upload the Hello Australia Please contact Bmusic if you want a Chapman Guitar, video to youtube...That look was priceless..;- ) Another great review & awsome video guys
These sound so unique, there's nothing I can compare them to. Definitely not your father's Tele. Pretty cool that they're affordable too. I'll take mine in all black.
Oh man! they sound amazing! they would look so much better with the Jim Root style but with those fender pickups, would look really amazing. But thats just me
I kinda agree. The mic-switching thing isn't totally working, guys. Well, yeah it helps a bit...it just gets a bit annoying sometimes. Just my little rant, but still a huge fan of this stuff : )))
Starsky&Hutch of guitars ! Love them and all they reviews are amazing even if Rob seem to shred many times ( maybe too much !) instead of lplayong chords or arpeggios....and leting the other man playing solos too ! But great great great demos !! Funny too...best regards from France
Obviously a gibson sg because that is what angus young used, but to be honest any low output humbucker guitar into a marshal style amp will sound like that, what is your price range? and do you have a good enough amp?
Something like that, but not quite totally. They have a marketing deal through Fender. The company is still owned by Fred Gretsch, but Fender does some development and most of the marketing.
when you guys play together it's like an old couple that are having a conversation but you're both talking about completely different subjects.
+el j Pretty awkward most of the time.
🤦♂️
Some of the best tones to come out of this channel, nice :)
Man this is a blast from the past!!!!
Unfortunately I am the minority in watching this video. I love the microphone switches and giving myself and others a broad spectrum of what the guitar sounds like in different situations. Loved it!
Sound absolutly fantastic clean sound
Captain was killin' it. Awesome.
Hahaha I love the capt's face at 4:01 and the way they are lookin at each other. Epic ! Like "Oh my god ! That sound !!!"
Sounding great guys love this fender
I really enjoy the Cap's playing tone and style... Beautiful
Been waiting for this!

the white pickguard on black is pure class
Schecter is doing the PT Fastback for years now, with more sounds and controls. Those Fenders look quite like them.
Loving the ambient mic stuff.. Gives a you a great idea of what the gear and the room sounds like.. Nice :)
Some of the tastiest jamming from the Captain and Chappers in a while, methinks.
These guys have the best job ever!!!
I tried one of these out about a week ago, AND LOVED IT!!! I'm normally a "Gibsiphone" type guy, who uses guitars with huge beefy necks, but I liked the feel of these. I gotta say I really like those pickups.
like the mic change, interesting stuff! Lee's a bad boy on the guitar!
The Captain never hits a bad note!
These guys have such great musical chemistry its sick :P and thank you captain and chappers for showing me my next guitar purchase :)
Love that neck p-up sound!
I could watch you 2 all day!!! I think you should pitch a real show!!! Thanks for all the great vids!!! Rob and The Captain Rule!!!!
This is the one John Mayer played on Perfectly Lonely on Letterman. They were a limited model back then. You can see the video of him and his rhythm guitarist playing them on RUclips.
Lee is getting good!
Crazy top on that strat in the background.

I really dig lee's playing on this video!
Lee, I swear, your playing gets tastier every video!
damn, lee got his blues chops to legendary!
Sounded great... especially through the ambient mic.
Capn's playing has been more awesome than usual lately.
Great video to come into from school on my birthday. Cheers Men
Finally a guitar that differentiates itself from anything I've ever heard before!
probably the ibanez then. however, fender makes some double humbucker teles with emg's or dimarzios preloaded into them. i dont know if they're on the andertons website but i know they're on the musicians friend website. and they are the same price as the Cabronita tele

My dream guitar!!!!!!! just in blue and whit scratch plate!!! nice sound too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob! Nice and entertaining videos!
yeaa the captains gettin better!
Would I be able to switch out the humbuckers for say some Seymour Duncan's or are they different?
I think cavity size is different but I think you can swap one for like better TV Jones pickups.
if you wanted a HH tele with standard humbucker size, the blacktop is a good choice.
I think I see the new Squier Vintage Modified guitars in the intro. Are you guys going to release a review of them? Cause I'm really interested in the jazzmaster.
Don't Andertons sell guitar tuners then? =P
Hi guys Did you ever get a a GE Smith Tele into Andertons? If you did would it be possible to show one next time you doing some Fender gear. Thanks
it wont let me post the link, but
its called the Fender FSR Custom Telecaster HH with EMGs
Great ending!
So stick is editing the Anderton's vids now? Awesome! Keepin' it in the family.
At 0:56 Chappers is thinking did i already upload the Hello Australia Please contact Bmusic if you want a Chapman Guitar, video to youtube...That look was priceless..;- ) Another great review & awsome video guys
Hey, Captain, greate performance!
These sound GREAT.
Andertons do not ship to Brazil .. =( sadly ... I wanted to buy the Fender resonator ... Resonators guitars are really hard to find here...
These sound so unique, there's nothing I can compare them to. Definitely not your father's Tele. Pretty cool that they're affordable too. I'll take mine in all black.
Poetic justice, considering what Gretsch did to Leo Fender in 1950-51.
oh yeah.... when do we get chapman guitars in the U.S.? have yet to see one
What a jam!
I can't get down with the one knob setup. I don't use my tone knob often but I like it to be there on the rare occasion I do use it.
Very true and they have been for years.
Oh man! they sound amazing! they would look so much better with the Jim Root style but with those fender pickups, would look really amazing. But thats just me
I keep looking at that beautiful white jaguar behind the captain
I think it has something to do with the design of the pickup. Because TV Jones, Filtertron, They all sound really good in that heavy chunk of wood.
Hi Rob, are you guys gonna demo any of G&L guitars in the near future?
Do you have any videos of a 1972 Telecaster Deluxe?
The look on captains face when rob first starts playing is Tune That Thing lol
Why is there no album out with classic rocksongs played by Chappers and Lee?
great video! and thank god! some 10 years ago i have made 3 tunning telecasters with these settings i have used Gretsch original pickups.
Love the single pot control, and the captains tone is awesome, how much are those lovepedal drives?
damn, Ritchie Sambuca is getting better by the second, THUMBS UP CAP'N !!
wow that are beautiful guitars!!
The Gretsch brand is licensed to Fender, not purchased outright like Charvel/Jackson.
Whoaaa guys, demo that Wampler, it's insane!
I kinda agree. The mic-switching thing isn't totally working, guys. Well, yeah it helps a bit...it just gets a bit annoying sometimes. Just my little rant, but still a huge fan of this stuff : )))

blues heaven axe
how heavy is the rock you wanna play?
if you want like a crunchy bluesy sort of 60's 70's rock tone you should probably go with this.
00:20 Was that the new Squier Vintage Modified guitars?
Is it possible to replace the pickups with other humbuckers if I don't like the stock ones?
Can you guys do a Demo of the squier vintage modified jazzmaster?
when it says active microphones what does that mean? are you guys switching from camera mic to proper microphones?
Lads. Would love to see a demo of new fender blacktops. They look awesome!!!
Obviously a gibson sg because that is what angus young used, but to be honest any low output humbucker guitar into a marshal style amp will sound like that, what is your price range? and do you have a good enough amp?
what picks were those on the couch arm rests? or were they not picks?
Beautiful
hey does anybody know which exact model is the fender jaguar hanging on the wall on the left? thanks.
Nice demo )))
when is the squire jazz/jag review coming?
which would work better as heavy rock guitar this or an Ibanez fr320?
they sound fucking awesome!!!
do you shoot these vids "en bloc" or has the captain really only got one pair of trainers!! ;-)
love that sound....
I'm gonna have to try one of these next time I'm in town :P
Really nice sounding guitar! Hard to keep those babies in tune with thin strings and detuned a half step though.
Could you please do some mooer pedals?
great demo
born to be wild moite
Very good video!
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE INTRO SONG!?!? Love it!!!!
WHAT IS THE SONG IN THE BEGGING I NEED TO KNOW
Filtertrons are the best pickups ever!
Something like that, but not quite totally. They have a marketing deal through Fender. The company is still owned by Fred Gretsch, but Fender does some development and most of the marketing.
