Just picked up really interesting version of one of these...super light Warmoth swamp ash body in the ice blue, TV Jones pickups, all USA hardware...MIM neck. Basically the only original part was the neck and tuners and I swapped the tuners last night. Just some really minor fret dressing and a good setup and it's shockingly good. Anyway, I found your preset on Axechange....thanks for sharing.
You had me at Riff Raff, Bergs! Lol! I dig your “I like 2 of everything” mindset. I’m thinking seriously about putting a set of TV Jones into my PRS CE-24.
@rknpr If you do please post a youtube video, I'm thinking doing the same with my CE 24 or SG, all demos of a TV Jones Classic on the bridge of any guitar that I've heard sound glorious
As a youngster in the 80’s, I figured a LP and Strat would be all I needed! Such a foolish young man haha! Had 3 Teles out of squad of 22! Have cut back to 6 electrics and only Tele is a 75 black Custom like Sir Keefs! Very tempting however!! Thanks and congrats Brett!!!
She quacky as all get out. I know some folks in rock and blues dont care for the T.V. Jones pups or toaster pups,....but I adore them. As he touched on, ...they really cut through the mix at stage volumes. I'm gonna have to source me one now. That is just gorgeous.
I've been gassing for this model Tele for a while now :). Especially that blue one. My other Tele has a Seymour Duncan 5/2 in the bridge and a Psyclone (Filtertron type) in the neck.
Big filter Tron fan here! The clarity even at high overdrive settings is amazing! You need to be accurate for sure because they will expose your sloppy playing! You realize what an amazing rythem player Malcom Young is and how accurate and clean his playing is!
Jealous Again! Hey re the neck pickup. TV Jones do a "T90" in that same mount which might be a cool alternative neck sound to sit next to the bridge...
Hi Brett! Of course I'd love to have the preset for the FX 111 you made for this beautiful guitar, if you would be so kind Maestro! As usual , it sounds fantastic in the hands of the Master! Cheers my friend! Cheers!
Love this model telecaster. Wish Fender would make it a staple part of its catalogue with American and Mexican versions rather than just the occasional limited release.
I'm guessing they've done the PR tests and people just want the tried and true Tele/Broadcaster/Esquire thing. Trons might be a little too left for many. Not for me, though!
Me too. The original Mexican versions weren't Fender's best work, but they could do it as part of the Player or Vintera series. I have a Squier (one of the original-design ones from the 2010s), and I love it, aside from the microphonic bridge pickup. It's such an oft-repeated design for custom guitars that you'd think Fender would show more interest in the low-and mid-market designs (the current Paranormal Squiers don't have much to do with the original design). Although I've got to say, there's nothing wrong with having a tone control. It's not a massive cluttering use of time and energy to have an easy way to take the edge off. Eventually I'll throw in a TV Jones and a stacked volume/tone knob.
@@BrettKingman Trons don't seem nearly as "left" to me as Jazzmaster pickups, which is what some of the current Squier Paranormal Cabronitas have. And the JMs require a second tone knob, which the Paranormals also have.
Great guitar... if I only had 1...butterscotch for me. However, you've got big decisions. 🤔 What's gonna be the #1 stage look.? Lake placid or butterscotch? No doubt Lake Placid is the most distinctive, it seems to have almost a metallic sheen to it. Decisions 🙃
It doesn't really matter what colour it is because the light show is so full on everything's compromised by the wash. That's cool. Then it just comes down to the silhouette and the feel.
Yeah, that's what tempted me too - I have the butterscotch one as well. I love the bling look of the LPB/rosewood but my short experience with both says the butterscotch/maple is tighter and twangier. I haven't used the blue one on stage, though, and that's where it counts for me. I'll do that and maybe make a comparison video based on stage experience. Now all I have to do is track down one the gold versions ... 😬
@@BrettKingman that would be awesome as there is none comparing the LPB/RW/Alder with the Blonde/Maple/Ash. Almost blackguard vs 60’s Tele I think. Look forward to the comparison video and good luck with the tour 👍
very cool guitar i always think of the tv jones style pickups as the vox amps of the pickup world.if that makes sense bright with that top end chime..........mmmmmm i wonder what would happen if you played the tv jones pickups through a vox amp? CHIME.
Love your videos, this guitar is sweet, yet plenty of bite! How come your wife gets an entire yard for her work, and you get a small room for your work? hahahaha!
Brett, you are sounding like Angus Young in this one. By the way, you should see this video of James Reyne because I’m not quite sure what he was saying on stage? Does he still do this type of thing at his live gigs? ruclips.net/video/Za-V8fSgE2Y/видео.html

I saw this one up for sale recently and mate, I'm glad you got it! Such a great guitar!

Great review of a fantastic guitar I am lucky enough to own. Cheers Brett
Love it! Toying with getting the ash butterscotch version. I tend to prefer a tone knob. That might be the only thing I miss.
Great to hear "Riff Raff" riff.
That’s a thing of beauty. Nice catch!
Exquisite tones and playing cheers Mr K!👍☺🎸
Thanks, Mr Sumlin!
Beautiful tones.
Sounds good! Love AC/DC riff!!
jeez that's beautiful
Great tones!
Great colour for a Tele 😎👍
All I can say is WOW.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. And coincidentally, the amp (model - Axe-FX III) they seem to get on best with in a stage environment is ... AC30.
Brett will there be any of your gigs that will be recorded or broadcast live? Would love to see/hear.
This one this coming Sunday, Toney. www.emusiclive.com/James_Reyne/James_Reyne_Live
@@BrettKingman awesome. Thanks!
Nice axe Brett! Don't tell me you have tired of your Nashville Tele already? I get it though, a man can never have too many Tele's!
You got it..! The Nashville is good but it has a very petite neck profile and it's not as solid. It needs to harden up a bit. :D
I'm trying to save for an Eastman dc...& u show me this ffs!!
Thanks mate.
Brett Do You Have Any Tompkins Guitars Thanks Ron In North Carolina USA
Don't you miss a tone pot? I think I'd be a little bit nervous without one
Nup. I only ever use what's on offer. If I want to roll off some treble I can just turn it down - no treble bleed on these.
That's one awesome looking and sounding tele my man! Great playing as always Brett
Thanks, Eric!

😂matches your outfit. Pretty special tele, I love tele's because there so reliable.
Yeah, triple denim. An outrage, eh?
@@BrettKingman not an outrage, just colour coordinated.
Apparently 'cabronita' translates to 'little bitch'.
I always wondered what it meant...
Haha! Yeah, that's probably not the comparison I would draw although it does bark in front of an old Marshall. Attack dog.
