Got a MIM black and it's mint as the guy bought it online and didn't like it. It remained in his house for 4 years untouched. Got the paperwork, gig bag for just over €300! Amazing guitars and I never heard a Tele blow like this. It's like a Tele with a turbocharged engine!
so my great wife got me one of these this week for my birthday. can say how happy i was with it straight up, only thing i had to do was change the strings for something heavier, i like to work my guitar, hahahah. ive decided i dont like the tuners so im gonna change them out, and i might have a bigsby installed for a bit of fun as im so used to my gretsches and a duesenburg, i miss having it there. stll this thing chimes like a boss. im in love
Yeah, good timing dude. I was just looking in a catalog thinking I need to get me a new axe. I need to check this out in person. Thanks. Killer playing as always!
Great playing & great tone from that rig. The ELEVEN rack sounds very nice. And I think I'll add that Cabronita Mex-Tele to my arsenal. Twenty two frets, ash, Gretsch vibe. Thanks for the video.
I think they sound a bit different but I love the sound of these pickups so I wouldn't be swapping them out unless you have a very specific sound in mind.
I haven't had the pleasure of spending any time with the new Thinline version yet. I think it will sound even better! When I get a chance I'll do a video demo for it
Last question : what is the pickup height setting starting point ? I just got mine today....a brand new one but used, so feel the pickups very high, set by the guy before...i play blues and classic rock so look for a warm bluesy tone without losing the classic twang ! Thanks for you help, Gaëtan
Great demo, i have bought one but still waïting for it...is there any misalignement between the strings and pups polepieces , like said on many forums ? More on the trebble side......thanks for your answer, best regards from France, Gaëtan
I've been looking for a good, but relatively cheap guitar to bring to university (I don't want to bring my Les Paul incase it gets stolen as i will be living in a sketchy area). This seems like the perfect choice. Retro looks (which i love), telecaster sound but a bit fatter, (which i also love!) and well built!
thank you very much, sir! just right chords and style. right fillings. not any of "primadonnas" or idiotic sarcasm. thanks for "no blues" and excellent sound!
Have a question...How different are the TV Jones Classic pickups in the USA Cab from the ones that come in the Mexican Cabronita ? Is it worth a change out to the TV Classics. Getting the white Cab Friday...Thanks, Lou
The guitar sounds great great day for working club player's who find there money tight mexico don't make em,they assemble. These are great guitars and if your playing in your bedroom workin a day job the choice between is easy, after all its not like your a star yet. great player as well
Hi, does it sound beefier, warmer than classic tele Baja ? I love warm sounds, hate screamy guitar sounding ? Yhanks for your answer, best regards from France, Belo
very enjoyable vid and great playing mate, I have opportunity for a trade for this guitar in white like yours and look forward thanks to your demo, again thankyou and awesome playin
Thanks for demoing both clean AND distorted tones on this guitar. Usually when you request someone to demo distortion on a Tele all the old school banjo fucks out there shit thier pants and start a fuckin comment war. At least now there's a demo running distortion through a Tele to show WHY it's needed. Clean is great to play but people like to rock out once in awhile too. Nobody wants a one trick pony. Thanks for proving me RIGHT!
Thanks Ryan, in case you did not get my answer yet, check out axecaster.co.uk I bought my bridge there and added the golden saddles for design reasons :) The Cabronita I actually bought after I saw your Video :) Any chance you will be at the German Musikmesse this year? Cheers and keep your videos coming!
Hi Conny, thanks for the info on the bridge. It looks pretty sweet! The Cabronita I now own is a black USA model so I don't think the gold bridge would like as good as on the white, although I'm still tempted of course! Take care man.
Hi there James I actually bought the white Cabronita because of you...and I modded her a little, check out the bridge on the end Thanks Man, ruclips.net/video/LJb7WPCBzt0/видео.html
I know it’s been a decade. Always wanted one but didn’t know if it could rock or not. Your the only RUclips video that makes it scream! Thank you.
Best demo of this guitar yet on the 'Tube. Showed it's potential across the whole spectrum. Well done!
The neck pickup tone is so sweet. I gotta find one of these.

Slightly thicker neck than the USA but still a modern C shape. Gloss finish on the Mex vs satin on the USA. Both feel great.

Thanks a lot James....so just ordered one !!!!! Best regrdas from France, belo
Just got mine last week! what an amazing sound!
Such cool sounding guitars
Wow. You rock. I never heard such squealies on a tele mind you. Very nice.
Great playing & great tone from that rig. The ELEVEN rack sounds very nice. And I think I'll add that Cabronita Mex-Tele to my arsenal. Twenty two frets, ash, Gretsch vibe. Thanks for the video.
just went and laybyed mine today. plays so well. sounds so good
The Nashville Deluxe, the Cabronita and the FSR Ash body Butterscotch.. Tele heaven...
God damn, that's some tasty playing and tones.
I think they sound a bit different but I love the sound of these pickups so I wouldn't be swapping them out unless you have a very specific sound in mind.

Cheers mate! Personally I use an overdriven or high gain sound most of the time so every guitar I try out has to love to ROCK!
It definitely sounds beefier than a regular Tele, but still retains the attack and crunch.
Kool Vid - Thanks for showin' its vibe! P/ups are a surprise - pretty good tone.
Cheers
Man, that is some great guitar playing too!
This is why Fender is my favorite company......enough said
sooooo jealous of your guitar collection!!!

Sounds like some fuzz going on.
Sounds great!
Good review, and sweet playing!
Damn!!! it sounds amazing!!!
GREAT DEMO MATE!!!!!!
Have a question...How different are the TV Jones Classic pickups in the USA Cab from the ones that come in the Mexican Cabronita ? Is it worth a change out to the TV Classics. Getting the white Cab Friday...Thanks, Lou

hey james great video again - I want one of these now - cheers the mrs will kill me but its worth the risk
Awesome playing sounds like some Kotzen riffs
Great vid! and great sound! what amp/cab combination did you use on the first part of the video? thanks!
Hi James,
any chance od A, B-ing with the US model,
cheers
Thanks
Can't decide between the Cabronita and the Tele Deluxe. Damn, just want a wall of Telecasters with different pickup configurations
Jake Stewart Music that's the way to go! I've got a cabronita, and a nashville Tele. Some day I'll have a thinking 72 reissue
Me too! I got a Cab, holy shit it's awesome! I have a standard 94 Tele but I'd like one with just one pickup too!
Hi, does it sound beefier, warmer than classic tele Baja ? I love warm sounds, hate screamy guitar sounding ? Yhanks for your answer, best regards from France, Belo
a great guitar with a unique bel like sound . but why the one volume control ??? . i don't get it
very enjoyable vid and great playing mate, I have opportunity for a trade for this guitar in white like yours and look forward thanks to your demo, again thankyou and awesome playin
Do you remember what amp preset you were using on the Eleven Rack? I love the tone you have going on!
how would you compare these pickups to the Gretsch g5438t?
Sorry James, which gauge?
Thank you very much for the reply!
hi man i am in melbourne where i can get one of this
cheers
Do you have your eleven rack presets somewhere to share?
i'm ordering a blonde Cabronita from AMS, I love the sound of them out of the box.
Great review. Does the Mexi version feel as good as the American version?
In which ways are they different?
typical kick-ass playing
Digidesign Eleven Rack
That's some killer playing and a sweet guitar! What settings were you using on the Eleven?
I use Fender strings. (Bullets on the Strats)
Sooo epic definitely gives andy from proguitarshops run for his money
Where is Part 2!!!!!???? :-)
now this guy can play :)
i would want one of these but i would have the pick up routes modded for humbuckers.. i would want pick ups that have a modern voicing
+Victor Rene In other words, you don't want one of these?
LP & TWB I did a while ago but with humbuckers. :3 instead but never mind, ur question is true at this present time. I prefer modern teles.
WOW
J, which strings do you use?
James, Cabronita MIM vs Squier CV 50 in your opinion?
Been playing for many years and wish I could just sit down and do this for 10min.
How does it compare to a Cabronita Thinline?
So is this essentially a Gretsch?
Not really. Gretsch solid bodies are made from chambered mahogany. The Filtertrons will sound completely different in a solid alder body
Nice :)
