Hey man, that truck was lowered at some point, with those being lowering springs. I'm not 100% with dodges, but most drop kits had shorter shocks. You may not have enough up stroke and hyperextend the shocks, giving it a shitty ride. May need to swap them out for stock shocks
"Paper clip things " are cotter pins, if you plan on keeping this on the road. Get a lift pump. Service the rear end. Get the transmission rebuilt with HD parts. If it's auto Goodluck. If it's standard. Get the 5th gear reworked so it doesn't wipe out the trans

Lower it’ll look so good and it will still be able to tow i have a lowered c3500 and it can haul 3 cars with a gooseneck
