Mozart - Fantasia in D minor arranged for electric guitar

- Me playing my electric guitar arrangement to Fantasia in D minor (K. 397) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, originally written for keyboard.
This piece caught my attention for its emotional depth, foreshadowing the romantic period which will emerge 30 or so years after Mozart's death.
In contrast, the ending is very characteristically classical period, and was very refreshing for me to arrange and play.
Feel free to give me recommendations for future vids :)
Huge thanks to Siko for filming, Avishag "Shugi" Nuriel for editing, Timi and Eden for additional assistance.

Who knew that the best way to appreciate mozart this year would be a solo rendition on a telecaster!! Man, you blew that out of the park! Congratulations on a fabulous arrangement and brilliant performance. Shout out to the lovely setting and camera work too❤
Beautiful, intimate, awesomely arranged, awesomely played, fucking great dude!
please share more of this beauty..the world needs it !
Absolutely sublime. Some of those chord shapes made my hand hurt just watching!
I just can give you a like. Fantastic masterpiece. Congrats. Really pleasant.
so happy to see you upload again - hope to see you upload more often
It's terapeutic, i don't now if u understand how much is good for anxiety and depression. Thx from my heart ❤
First time I've heard this on electric guitar - a really great arrangement, Guy! It works so well. Glad to be a new subscriber here. Looking forward to checking out more of your videos.
Mozart is so modern, with such dissonances. Great playing, dude. Beautiful

Hybrid picking is the future of classical guitar!
Looks like a very difficult faithful arrangement for guitar - well done

Your videos made me try out a Nash tele. It’s not quite for my hands, but man it sounded gorgeous.
Thanks again for all you do ❤
Keep the honest takes coming, too. Beats air guitar every time
👏🏾
Sheer beauty
🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
That's very inspiring, thank you for working out the arrangement and sharing the results with us!
A modern classical piece that's caught my ear recently, is Anna Clyne's five part Dance. It's total dynamic ranges from intangible ether to a quaking core. Her incorporation of an "anvil" into its composition(not an actual anvil, but a set of tuned metal bars), provides a significant challenge in replicating that high note, with a harmonic in a guitar.
Interesting, will check it out. Thanks :)
@@guylevinberg1093 You're welcome!
you are playing better and better
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 🇧🇷
Beautiful playing as always and wonderful arrangement. How do you find the Lollar pickups on the tele? Also would love to grab a copy of the arrangement as sheet + tab if you have it
I really love the Lollars, they're really fat and unique, quite different than typical tele pups which might turn off some people. Check description about tabs 😅
Your playing and song selection always astounds me. Beautiful. For your hybrid picking technique, are you using the pinky finger on your right hand?
@@shanereilly4896 I do use the pinky sometimes :)
Such a lovely piece! Also, what pick pickup do you have on that tele?
@@andrews7721 Lollars - the neck pu'p is called charlie christian, the bridge i believe is called 52' t or something like that

How would you recreate this smooth, warm, and crisp tone? I've gotta know
Play a telecaster i guess :) also give it some reverb and play softly with the pick.
Can you please make an album? Thanks 😂
Do you have an album out anywhere? Or even better, do you ever play these pieces live?
I recorded albums with my band Dialgo but it's completely different than this channel. I did play a live concert of this sort of stuff (Clair de lune, Chopin nocturne etc.) but im not a touring musician
tunning bro.
Your are god
How did you get the detuned effect? It kinda sounds like a ring modulator.
@@semyaza555 i honestly don't know haha people here point out that my guitar was simply not in tune so maybe that's what you're hearing. But also maybe it's the small bright sounding amp contribute
play tchaikovsky swan lake next, keep these vidz going, they fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agreed
Good idea!!
Seems like all the good ones are like 95 percent Telecaster songs, then 5 percent everything else.
Its like this is what Heavy Metal is tryiiiiing to do.
why didnt you tune your guitar before recording ? 😢
Whatchu talkin bout
@@chris5588 you can hear in the first second when he strums that his guitar is out of tune
@@chris5588 He's right about the tuning, might be the D string (still a wonderful performance)
Maybe he likes that tunning
@@francescoparenzan3474 In hindsight the D string sounds a bit off, but it only audible to me on the first arpeggio sequence. i tuned my guitar to be more accurate on the higher register (for the major part, and actually most of the piece) and i need to fix some intonation i guess
Mate, love the videos usually but this is so far out of tune, its just painful.
