Condition for uniformity coefficient must be greater than 6 not 4. Cu >4 is for coarse aggregates or gravel. And for these fine particles Cu must be greater than 15
+Ankita Sahu On x-axis - sieve size On y-axis -% finer. D10 means particle size corresponding to 10% finer. to find D10 Select the point 10% on y axis and extend that point horizontally with the help of ruler till it cuts the gradation curve. Then mark that point and drop that point vertically downward , and then obtained point will be on x axis , that one is our D10 value. Hope you understood :)

Sir, Do you know how can I calculate the CM values of CM diagram from the distribution curve where C is the coarsest one percentile and D is the median. Is C value refers to 1% or 99%?
u realy explained evryting perfectly in detail. 👌👌🙏🙏🙏
:)
I was agonising over the simplest aspect of this for my geotech assignment, and you just solved one of my major problems in a matter of minutes.
Needed this tutorial in basic Geotechnical breakdown for Cumulative Mass retained and Cumulative % retained. Big Help💯💯👌🏾👌🏾 Thank You!

So wonderful, thank you very much. I will now pass it well in my exams
Thanks for the great explanation
thank you bro, notes and textbook had no explanation on how to do this
Nice, it recalled our basic formula also ,it will help to find the soil grade.
You’re the best Bro 😎
U helped bro really thank you
What do I do if I have a gap for the "weight of soil retained" column?
Thank you sir. 🥰🥰🥰
My self Bhrugesh Patel, ,Nice presentation
+Nagpur Flyover QC happy to hear:)
Sir I m confused to find out the values of D10 and D60.
+Ankita Sahu
On x-axis - sieve size
On y-axis -% finer.
D10 means particle size corresponding to 10% finer.
to find D10
Select the point 10% on y axis and extend that point horizontally with the help of ruler till it cuts the gradation curve.
Then mark that point and drop that point vertically downward , and then obtained point will be on x axis ,
that one is our D10 value.
Hope you understood :)
Sir should we take the sieve value in log?
+Ankita Sahu we should take sieve values on x-axis on semi-log sheet.
+Ankita Sahu we should use semi-log graph..
+Ankita Sahu On x-axis - sieve size
On y-axis -% finer.
D10 means particle size corresponding to 10% finer.
to find D10
Select the point 10% on y axis and extend that point horizontally with the help of ruler till it cuts the gradation curve.
Then mark that point and drop that point vertically downward , and then obtained point will be on x axis ,
that one is our D10 value.

Nice presentation
thank you sirji
