Toffee: hard candy, caramelized butter and sugar producing a caramel flavor. Has a "hard crack" texture. Taffy: soft candy, many flavors typically fruity but not exclusively. The pulling method adds air to the taffy softening it. Interestingly "The Oxford English Dictionary dates the first written record of the word toffee in the forms tuffy, toughy to 1825 and identifies it as a southern British dialectal variant of taffy (first recorded use in 1817), whose modern spelling is first recorded from 1843". - Wikipedia, Taffy (candy)

Tasted bonkers aye Eilidh!
Looks delicious
Thanks for the love! 😌
Gonna put my trust and faith in you and make this today for gifting at Christmas tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes.
How did it go!?
@ magnificent My Brother, absolutely magnificent. Thank you !!🙏
Yum Matt. This year due to finances I am making homemade everything!
That’s the way to go Jack!
Bro this looks so delicious
Genuinely 10/10
Question: if I cook it longer on the stove, does it develop a richer/darker complexion and a different taste ?
It only affects the setting of the fudge. Too long on the heat & it can end up brittle & sandy!
If at all possible, recipes starring mushrooms would be great.🍄

Ur smart Daria. I have to try it because I'm still confused. Salt water taffy sounds unappealing tho
Totally going to make this , looks delicious
Do you mean half teaspoon salt not tablespoon ?
I used coarse sea salt so my Tbs will be different to fine iodized salt! I've put a note in the description in the recipe. Enjoy your fudge Suzie :)
