I watched this video probably like a month ago and I finally gave my dogs baths this past weekend and let me tell y’all THIS IS THE ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS. I have tried a plethora of flea and tic pills, collars, and shampoos. You name it I’ve tried it and those only halfway worked. But this shampoo recipe worked completely. The fleas were either dead in the water or dead but still hanging on my dogs. I didn’t have a flea comb at the time I do now so next time I give them I bath I’ll be able to get them all off. But even without the flea comb most of them came off my dogs. The ones that were still on them a lot of them I was able to take off with my hand. I have a shitzu Jr. and a Pom mix named Jack. Jr’s coat is cut short at the moment so I was able to get a lot off of him in the tub; afterwards more came off when I dried him off with a towel and then like i said earlier I was able to take a lot off with my hand. Now with jack he has a fuller coat his hair is thicker. He’s the one who I really need the flea comb for. Less came off in the shower for him but still a substantial amount and more came off when I was drying him, but I got more off when I was taking them off with my hand. And most if not all the fleas that I were taking off by hand were dead not moving at all. Long review short TRY THIS AND YOU WONT BE SORRY also have a flea comb it’ll help a lot 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks for this, my hound has just started scratching and I fear she has the little critters so I shall give her a bath in this. I'm in the UK and we don't get Dawn dish soap here but we do have a product called, Fairy washing up liquid, which is basically the same product. They're both made by the same company, Procter and Gamble and they're both their leading brands of dish soap/washing up liquid. It might be useful for any other UK viewers.
Just used this at 5:30 am. Didn’t even know my dog had fleas till I took a fine tooth comb. Thank god she’s blonde and I could see them right away. Also a plus she smells 1000 times better! Thanks for helping my yorkie. Now do I need to do it on my hair too? Can they be in our hair too?
Fleas and lice are *not* the same thing. But after you wash your dog, you can take a shower and wash your hair to get rid of any fleas that might have jumped onto you.
before you rinsed it off, did you leave the soapy solution on for a particular length of time? .. a few minutes at least? Also, we don't have DAWN dish soap in Australia .. I will have to look up it's ingredients to find a comparison, or do you know one? .. thanks ..
Recommendation. Do NOT use the same towel the dog was wrapped in before the flea treatment to dry it off after the treatment. Not only due to fleas, but also the eggs. And change its bedding after the bath.
Please don't use vinegar on dogs with cuts, wounds, or broken skin of any kind, it will cause a horrible burning sensation, like pouring alcohol over a wound.
I've been trying this for two days one day after the other & it seemed to work for a minute then they get fleas again. Obviously we must have some in the yard but what gets to me that supposedly the fleas live in warm places and the yard is pretty much nothing but dirt. I don't think this thing formula works to prevent the dig to get more on them after they are bathed with this home remedy. Thank you though.
@@CoffeeCowsNCurls I picked up a recipe from a farmer on FB and my mail lady and the ingredients were HUGE pinch of chewing tobacco soaked over night in water to make a concentrate following day strain the tobacco concentrate into a bug sprayer fill the rest with water you have 22 acres so you would have to make enough to cover those 22 acres but it's way cheaper then hiring a pest control company to come out and spray it.....the other product is diatomaceous earth.... everyone I spoke to about this spray has said it works great!
Thanks for video but I think too much vinegar he try to get out of the sink for a reason he had already been scratching and when you add the vinegar I think it hurt. Scratch your arm and put vinegar on it.
Dawn dish soap is great for emergencies but it is horrible for a dogs skin and should not be used if it can be avoided.....maybe this is an emergency or last resort but it is NOT safe as the video implies.
Dawn dish soap should have the duck on it. That was not a very good bath, never even see any soap lather. You must have given it a bath the day before or something like that and did a quick-looking wash job just to show how you did it and passed it of like it was the first time doing it./ .
But didn't work for me is that I tried to get set up with all these different things and I get denied every single freaking time. The whole thing is just a f****** scam

I don’t think you need to use it on yourself. 🙂
Those fleas do not live off humans. We have our own type of fleas called lice
@@saucy2627 I was just legit thinking about how similar lice and fleas are and then I saw this comment.. good to know it isn't just me

If my wife sees on hop , she’ll be itching and scratching til she gets a shower too !! 😂
Awesome! I'll try this, thank you!

Not only due to fleas, but also the eggs.
And change its bedding after the bath.
Good advice, thansk
I just read on PetCare not to mix vinegar with shampoo
Thank you 🙏🏽
I'll definitely try this. Pills, collars, ...nothing worked really.
It’s sooo bad this year! Ugh 😩
You should put cotton balls in his wars before bathing him. I also agree with the ACV with "mothers ". Your pup is so beautiful. 💙
Great idea! Thanks
Cotton balls,good idea
Will apple cider vinegar work?
Thanks
How long does it last
Nice dog ya got there.
Is this safe for pups? I just got an 8 week old and I've already found 2 tics
I did use it on my puppy keep away from eyes and mouth
wash face with a wash cloth to keep it out of the eyes and ears.
keep it out of eyes and ears.
@@garystanfield2274 lol thanks

Can you apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar.
I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able too

Fleas live in dirt and love sand.
I just did this with my dog it killed them instantly he had dead fleas everywhere no more itching
Yay! That’s awesome!
That would dry out your dog's skin Dawn soap does it's not meant to be used everyday
It wasn’t used every day 🤦🏻♀️
Your awesome and beautiful just like my kitties 😍
Can this helps in Keeping away from Ticks from my 2 Years gsd
I bet it wouldn’t hurt 🤷🏻♀️
@@CoffeeCowsNCurls Anyways love from india
Is the vinegar white vinegar or apple cider vineger?
Should be Apple Cider vinegar.
@@garystanfield2274 Why? It's not food.
@@Julesbc1234 It's not food?
It’s suppose to be apple cider vinegar
Dawn is toxic, most say to use non toxic?
What about the chickens?? If he had fleas they have to have them.
Chickens eat ticks
Do green apple dawn work for sub for blue dawn??
I am not sure 🤔
Can I use this on my cat?
What if my dog is bigger
That's wayyyyyyy more than a cup!
It is really super hard to hear you, even with my volume all the way up.
Im sorry it’s hard for you to hear it 😞
Does this help keep flees/ticks away? Does this actually work?
If they don’t have the fleas I noticed it help keep them away, this year the fleas were bad and it didn’t work, 🤷🏻♀️
@@CoffeeCowsNCurls have you since sprayed the yard for ticks and fleas
No, We have 22 acres, it’s way to expensive to spray it all.

Will Palmolive work? Or has to be Dawn?
Dawn works best
I have 1 dog and 2 cats do I do the cats after the same way?
Im scrolling to see if anyone tried it on a kitty
Do you mind telling me what breed dog Tex is?
Blue Lacey

Can i use any detergent?
I’d stick with dawn personally
Have done similar before add some oils sometimes
NO ESSENTIAL OILS ARE NOT DOR PET SKIN THEY MESS THE PH LEVEL WE MUST USE ONLY AND ONLY MUSTARD AND COCONUT OIL THAT TOO COLD PRESSED

He does the same thing when I give him a regular bath, he doesn’t like water, does that mean the water hurts him and I shouldn’t clean him?
No, I was just saying vinegar do burn especially after scratching a lot I learned first-hand with my dogs.
@@CoffeeCowsNCurls Great rebuttal with class and nuance!
Tex is a cutie. I wish I could give my fat chocolate lab a bath in the sink. I shall try the recipe. Thanks for sharing guys. God bless.
Is meant for puppies to??
I used it on my puppy, he was about 4 months when I used it on him
Hello Mam, please tell exact quatity in ML or litre

Yes, this is safe to use on puppies
This will help , right??

Ty for the tips, but who taught you how to measure? Lol
Dish soap probably kills all and not the vinigar :)
The vinegar can repel future fleas from jumping on.
Vinegar creates an acidic environment fleas don't like
That was way more than one cup.
I can't hear you talk
Dish detergent??? Do you not know about the importance of the correct PH balance for a dog's skin, especially a puppy?
Vinegar corrects pH
Too much talking
