The Problem with "normal" pcs is, that the slightest error can be an open door for the attacker. Tor box(or Tor WLAN) forces everything trough the Tor network, which makes it much harder to tell what you are doing.
Completely agree, it would be foolish to do something that’s even slightly malicious without a secure connection. That goes for browsing too. If you want to be safe, do it properly.

But your timing is critical when using this app. Also, doing this with IP isn't that good of an option. Since those change. So its best to record the MAC address for identifying people.Other wise you will have a lot of data in your hands without knowing who is visiting these sites. Also, just know that if some one in your own network is using a vpn then this kind of ...... wont work. Since, anything they search up wont pop up in your DNS query log. So if you are trying to hind yourself from this type of logging.
