I admire your dedication to put a zipline highway on the mountain. It was challenging but doable before the update. It's a friggin' nightmare after it.

Btw golf carts can go up the mountains, pretty much can defy gravity. Can go almost completely vertical and be fine

I noticed you don't use the glider much. It is one of the most efficient transportation methods, especially with the new jump pad, and I know that you know that. Hence, I was wondering why don't you use it? Do you consider it too easy, or do you just prefer Ziplines?

Ye, mastering the glider can take you across the map from just jumping of a small edge.

You missed the free, respawning zipline rope near those tents at 12:00 , that is the only spot which has respawning zipline rope in the game. You even mentioned it during the last season. I know this place very well because I can't seem to play this game anywhere else, conquering that mountain is so satisfying!
I used a hangglider to get to the top of the mountain. There's a deadguy and a satellite dish near the tallest peak.

I think your problem of not being able to see when up on the mountain from sun glare is due to your graphical settings. I've tested some and the two main ones that I've found issues with are Clouds (set this to high otherwise the snow becomes a blinding white), and Fog Quality (set this to off, you'll be able to see the whole mountain)

A little tip I found out with a friend.
You can still jump up the part where Farket said you cant. You just have to angle your W key with A or D.
And the easy mode is riding up there with a golf cart. It doesnt make any sence becauseof the angle, but it works😂

Appreciate your input to the game .. I’d love to see a thermometer, canoes, and exiting your inventory animation whilst being attacked added to the game. Or in forest 3. 👊
You should try the raid customizer mod on red loader, you can tweak the enemy raids to your liking.
I dont think ill ever build a zip system to the top of the mountain... Again. It was a pain the first time 😂
If you turn off fog it removes the blinding white light in the mountains.
This is so strange about 6 months ago I built an almost identical zipline up that very same part of the mountain
Dear farket, you are waisting your time with them ziplines, just use the glider. You will travel at least 3x faster than with ziplines, and it launches you really high if you jump on the pad. The only zipline you might want to make is to the top of the mountain, but realistically, you don't need it. With the glider, you can elevate yourself to any height you need.
I made a zipline system over the mountains before the updates... and I thought that was hard :D

I wonder if you mapped mousewheel scroll to jump if that could be used for rapid fire jumping.
Yeah, it would be awesome if they had a cannibal hide canoe and river kayak. as well as widen the streams a bit. I just downloaded the game recently. I am still waiting to buy a decent gpu, perhaps next month.

Not sure if it still works, but I've sledded down rivers. It required that you keep a good speed, or else you'd sink and just stand up, but you could steer... kinda lol

What, have you never taken the river highway with the sled down from the mountain? Thats like endgame right there
Finished the story which I enjoyed, got a few more days play from the game building with cheats and no animations , but still finding the map large and boring. To me it feels like all the attention was put on the area between and around the 3 crash sites, then the rest was a rush job. The golf course for example, I have to leave asap or die of actual boredom. Endnight if you're making a new forest game and need some level design (for a smaller map than SOTF hopefully) I would like to help, thanks.

Couldn't us place logs and or stone to make a hopping path up the mountain?
It's definitely possible but it would take a very long time and use a lot resources which are a huge challenge to transport up that slope. It was a pain in the neck to put up zipline towers before the update, I gave up almost immediately once the update happened.
