I had really high hopes for this game and I even really enjoyed it at first but I’m just upset with where it’s gone. I really hope Endnight is working on a massive update that will cover all of the issues players have brought up but I’m concerned that they are pretty much done working on this game.
i dont think there will be any more big updates.. sadly i also dont like the game anymore. No reason for building a base and the map is way too big and boring

the system doesnt even make logical sense, in the cold, you'd want to move more to heat up. You would ostensibly not have any less energy just because you're cold, if anything that can inspire someone to start running around more. this is definitely a system that should be only tied to hunger, thirst, and rest.
I live in Northern Alberta, if you're in the cold it is a great motivator to get moving. It's actually the lack of light during winter that causes sluggishness. If you experience that in winter then you should try Vitamin D tablets. I'm not a medical professional, but sunlight is what we use to make Vitamin D.

Honestly I think they should have asked the community about fixing the game instead of them doing it because they don't know what they're doing it's almost like deck 13 except deck 13 does not care
As much as I like Forest/SoF, I really dislike the stat number difficulty method. Giving enemies more HP / reducing your stats is not satisfying. I personally would always prefer if the higher difficulties would just equate to more enemies, or enemies generally being more agressive instead of waiting their turn to die. My favourite combat moments in both games were when I was mobbed and cornered, forced to use my expensive equipment to get our alive. Not shooting the same enemy 20 times because their HP reached mind boggling levels. I mean, on the hardest difficulty, I saw people eat two shots of buckshot dead center more times than I'd like to count. Additionally, when I saw spear thrower cannibals and armored ones, I was getting so hyped for them to start learning from the player. The more you fight cannibals, the more they'd evolve their arsenal. Outside of boat motor giants, I don't think there is a single upgraded tech variant. Imagine how scary it would be if we saw them make bows and arrows, fire or electric arrows, start setting up rudimentary traps around their camp site, or even make a pipe pistol with all the ammo around. I get that this isn't a AAA game, but still, I'd rather have bowman cannibals, then another boosted health reskin of the same thing we fought an hour ago

Sorry to burst your bubble bro but Endnight has pretty much gone silent on SOTF, it's not even on their website and their Twitter has been silent since 1.0 release. I'd say the chances for a proper console release are slim to none at this point.
Can you do a video about playing on "real time" mode? People think its on real time, but most things are not, for example, batteries energy get drain fast, also cooking food and boiling water takes way too long even for "real time." I put water to boil and i recorded a 20 min in real time, i went to do other things and when I came back water had boil, but it took more than 20 min which is unrealistic. Now I am stuck in this game mode.
Tbh what does hunger and thirst even do, i always have it under 25% or dont have it at all, you doesnt take damage because the lack of it, if not the stamina that regenerates by eating u could live without it
Not to stroke me own fella but ive always said Endnight are just incompetent when it comes to game design, whether its a lack of preplanning phase of devlopment or just laziness i really dont know but its the first game i was super excited to play only to an experience that barely even knows what it is.

same, copium spammers from their discord fanclubs can have all the 'fun' that they want; this game is let down by the developers doing little after finishing the engine. Even the so called vaunted AI improvements mean NOTHING. As cannibals auto spawn, blindly attack your buildings at the same cadence no matter what. That makes SoTF gamey junk, objectively worse in a significant way than it's predecessor as a survivor builder. Patrol routes WORKED: gave the player agency to take care of where they started for the best chance. Now if there are any resources at all; you are getting auto-zerged by a lazy script.
This feature is dumb XD. Lets be honest. This game has three priorities. Building Killing/Defense Exploring Unless you do multiplayer, then it's a little different. Top priority of this game should be placed on making building easier and most fun. The biggest issue I find is that End Night wants to force the community to only play in the way they see fit. Nothing wrong with it, but it's so different from their previous game that it almost feels like a different genre. Fans are frustrated and new fans only see this as a casual game with friends. Sometimes End Night comes up with these goofy ideas like cold and stat penalties and I gotta ask...who are these even for? The cold thing is understandable. Your cold, your fingers don't work worth a crap and you just want to go someplace warm so energy levels are eh...But the stat regen thing? That doesn't make sense. This isn't even the type of game where gimping yourself makes the game more fun. It just makes it more frustrating. Especially when you get killed. You then end up in a camp god knows how far away from your base and there's a good chance enemies are there so you're just going to get killed again and lose all the progress you made earlier. It's not fun to get killed and making life harder on yourself makes it all the more furstrating.

Hard mode is a good design. You need to make your attacks accurate and timed. Its not a bug. You need to retreat if you are outmatched in a fight. To address the stamina drain specifically, I think it is implemented so spamming mouse click is ineffectial. Overall, it makes the game hard. This is hard mode.
I agree. As someone who played through hard survival as the first time, it seemed complitely fine and realistic. I played normal difficulty after to get all the achievements (I killed kelvin and virginia) and it felt too easy and unrealistic in terms of stamina (and some other stuff). It's a matter of perspective. The game literally gives you the option to change things and people are still complaining.

having a stam regen penalty for no reason makes no sense. people want to max the difficulty and still have it be somewhat realistic, or balanced to that difficulty. nobody wants to go in and tweak the settings to have a good experience. they should've just made it slower when cold like intended
