The last island sounds epic❤. Thank for the tip
Great pics❤🎉
Good morning. Just finished reading War by Bob Woodward. It contributed to my understanding of what happened in Israel and Ukraine. Yes it is a very superficial view but it is a very good starting point.
Good to have you back, Peggy! We've missed you!
🤗
Glad you were one of the few survivors or the Alamo, Peggy!! Impressed you've already got your hands on Jack Weatherford's new book on Kublai Khan's navy!
Thank you for highlighting My Dear Boy. Will read for sure. Dr. Holzer’s ‘brother’ was Dr. Norman Bethune, who left his beloved Canada to work and die in China.
The Emperor of the Seas is a beautiful book, I'll place it on my want to read list. 📚
Remember the Alamo! I do remember my school field trip there. I have been there a few times since. The River Walk nearby is cool, too.
Welcome back! You've been missed :). Hope you had nice weather for the visit to Texas..my home and stopping grounds. Been a while since I've been to SA. Look forward to your next video.
I recently read a middle grade graphic novel of The Hiding Place by Chosen books. It was really good. The Last Island sounds interesting. It makes me think of Jim Elliott.
Peg, I am currently reading Fates and Traitors, hostorical fiction about John Wilkes Booth. I am loving this look at his life. I am wondering if it was you who suggested this book.
I struggle so much watching your videos!! You always break my book budget!!!!! The last video caused me to buy some very new, very interesting books on history.
I’d be interested in The White Ladder, if you are passing it on. 📕 I’m always looking for narratives that give food for thought (or deeper meaning to the quest).
It's yours! Send me an email at my business address (it's under the About tab) with your shipping address, and I'll send out to you. It's the least I can do for breaking your book budget. 😉

Lots of very heavy books in this TBR! Not sure I could handle it.
I can’t believe it’s almost November. I would love to visit that alamo. I’ve never been west of Nashville except when I flew to Las Vegas and had a layover in Dallas. I know I need to get out more!!!!You have been busy. I would love to read the first 3 books. How are all
The puppies doing.
I really want to read more historical nonfiction and fiction, yet I am always turned off by my own inability to pronounce names of people and places. =(
Wonder if Gilder changed the book any since being published back in 2012 with a slightly different tagline and a foreward then by Senator Joe Liberman? Would be interesting to read both copies.
I'll let you know!
Hello!^.^ I rarely comment but listen religiously :) "Chin-geese" would be the closest to how Mongols pronounce it^.^
Thank you for being such a devoted listener...I don't know how you do it. ;) THANK YOU for the pronunciation help! I always appreciate when viewers teach me things.
Love the pictures! Kind of jealous, to be honest. Although I did share a few snaps from my "exotic" sojourn in the river bottom on Voxer. Also slapped together a lazy video featuring my soon to be failed ambitions for end of year reading. Whee!
The books sound great, as always. I've put myself on a pretty strict buying ban after the Princeton sale, but mental notes are being made. Love the Oct. 7th and Gaza idea. And a Roxie appearance always makes the sun shine brighter. 😉
Take care, and have a good one!
Another great list. I am curious- do you have any recommendations on books about angels/ guardian angels, especially a Lutheran view? I have been looking and it’s sure a niche if ever there was one. lol.
Always look forward to your vids!
Hey Sherri! Let me look into that…I can’t recall anything off hand, but I’m sure there are books out there on the topic. I assume Martin Luther had something to say on the matter. 😁
Helo 🖐♥️👍
Hello! Welcome! :)
