Totally agree, Where the Red Fern Grows devastating as a child. Awesome cover on Jonathan Strange. Never read it before will have to check it out. Ocean and the Stars sound amazing! Will have to add it to my tbr.
I think Pearly Everlasting sounds like a very interesting book. It sounds like it makes you feel all the feels, which is my favorite kind of book. I feel like it would be a perfect read in the winter months. Maybe I am just catching some of your book joy.🙂📚
I have Jonathan Strange on my shelf. I have a really nice copy I picked up at a library sale for only fifty cents. I need to try to read it next year as well. That artwork is so pretty.
Gaaaah! Must. Not. Look. Still recovering from unrestrained Princeton binge! Nevertheless, I wish you a happy Halloween/All Saints'/All Souls' trio. By the way, while I had my dog at the vet today, someone brought in a recently rescued dog that looked like it should be accompanied by Sarah McLachlan music. Couldn't decide if I wanted to weep or pulverize something/someone. Oh, and "That's what she said!" jokes are always welcome. 😉😂
I can’t handle anything bad or sad with animals either. Where the red fern grows made me cry and upset me too.
Pearly Everlasting sounds so good. I put a hold on it at my local library. Sounds like a great read for the new year. Thank you for sharing.

You're a lucky lady, free novels. 🍂 I read and kept Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, when it was a new release. I enjoyed Piranisi on Kindle.

I'm a big Susanna Clarke fan. I hope you enjoy Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell 😊

I didn’t like dances with the wolves because they killed the wolf that Kevin kostner worked so hard to befriend totally ruined the whole movie for me.
