That’s their most popular season. Lots of skiing and winter activities. I absolutely hate the cold, so I doubt I return in the winter, but I’m all for going back to go Jet Skiing. I tried on this trip, but Jet Ski rentals didn’t open for another week. I missed it by a week!
What a cute little zoo. The Snow Leopards are gorgeous 😍 My father used to take us up to big bear for fishing vacations. We did the alpine slide though they've made quite a lot of improvements since I've been (it was only alpine slide + water slide then). In that same area as the slides they had a little area with horses, llamas and things in a pen and you could go for horseback rides which was fun. I had a llama spit on me there too, lol.
Those are such great memories! It's definitely got more offerings there now. I don't think I showed it, but I'd love to go back and do the Soaring Eagle sometime, which is a sort of zip line. We ran out of time that day for it.
We are already trying to figure out 1) how to go back to Big Bear and 2) how to find time for a trip to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite in the nearish future. And of course we still really want to go to Universal.
They are! You have to be careful, though, if you go too fast you’ll wipe out and the consequences are not fun! I know from personal experience. 😂 And even after me recounting my thrilling tale to my father-in-law, he didn’t listen and wiped out himself on this visit. Skinned up his arm and knee pretty good.
This was awesome. We live about 45min from big bear and go more during the summer but I have never done the slides or coaster. So definitely going to go this summer with my boy. Oh by the way they have great food at El Jacalo its Mexican food and right across is a great steakhouse, I forgot the name but its just across. Maybe you and Amy can have a date night. Hope to see more videos of Big Bear. Oh yeah there's a beach too on the other side of the lake, but I forgot the name lol. Have fun!
You guys really should do a video of Six Flags Magic Mountain Six Flags Hurricane Harbor you guys could spend the night there at a Six Flags hote or al hotel near Magic Mountain📲👍🏨
Why I never have been to Big Bear. I don't know. It was 3hrs from Torrance. And it has camping which we do. Oregon has Mt Hood Meadows no zoo. But same kind of activities. The slide so much fun. Same exact one. No roller coaster. We have zip line and the sky tram. What a fun day.
Where I grew up, we had a ski resort that was similar. Had the alpine slide, and in the winter they’d have snow tubing and things like that. Always good memories, but it was a little closer to where we lived then Big Bear. But definitely will be going back sometime.
I would assume so? They were open this past weekend. But I’d check their website to be sure of their hours. The water slides weren’t open though. Just the Alpine slides. The water slides should be opening soon though. At least by Memorial Day I would think.

I’m eyeing up the zip line for our next trip. It’s a 3-hour, 9-zip line tour. You’ll have to check it out!

that last coaster you were on is the same as the in Labadee, Haiti called Dragon's Tail Coaster.. but Labadee's is higher up i think. Very fun!

I was in South Dakota in rapid city and then I went to the alpine slide and 3000 feet zip line and saw Mount Rushmore and crazy horse
